      @@pramanmedical Hi anna,
I have small doubt that is haunting me for so many years. Diagnostic centers like Apollo, Vijaya Diagnostic centers will they examine phelmbotolist or working staff technicians for regular health checkups for blood borne pathogens like annually or 6 months? Because they are more at risk right. How they ensure patient safety and staff safety. Please clarify my doubt anna

      A phlebotomist collects the blood.and
A lab technician examines and analyzes it in the laboratory.
      To Ensure safety for them:
      a) Proper Training and Awareness
      b) Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
      c) Needle Safety Measures
      d) Hand Hygiene
      e) Environmental Hygiene
      f) Regular screening & vaccination
      g) Emergency Protocols
For detailed protocols and implementation please refer to the Chapter 5 of NABH that is HIC (Hospital Infection Control).

@@pramanmedical I am talking about diagnostic centers anna... Regular screaning means they will perform annual health check up for them? As I know NABL and NABH are different, most diagnostic centers follow NABL guidelines. I have seen NABH guidelines for staff safety they will pre examine before employment and during employment also like annually. I am not sure about NABL guidelines will they follow the same like annuall health check ups like how they performed NABH hospitals?
