The QOTN during the mutya ng Tagbilaran was done while she was healing from Laryngitis. So, it is not a big issue with Jona kahit kakagaling nya lng sa Flu because anyways, opera is one ot the healthiest genre if not the healthiest a vocalist can ever learn.
PLUS. Jona has one of the clearest bronchial tubes among all the singers in the world. Yes in the world. Maalaga xa sa health so nagpapahinga yan ng maayos kung may sakit xa bago xa sumabak sa event kung tumapat na may sakit xa.
That's how she works, SMART not only hard. That's how a smart princess works. Fearless indeed.

I agree with the general sentiment: Jona is a highly skilled and prudent vocalist. However, there is no evidence that opera is "healthier" than any other genre. The opera world has no shortage of singers with vocal damage. Also, since it is mostly performed without microphones, it requires singing with higher-than-normal levels of breath pressure, vocal fold engagement, and general physical intensity. Pavarotti aptly described it as a risky and athletic art form.
This means Jona is even more impressive than you seem to imagine. Whenever she switches to opera, she isn't trying to "sing in safe mode." She's literally amping up just about every aspect of her voice. She doesn't have it down pat just yet, but her occasional operatic adventures are a daredevil's challenge nonetheless, especially when we consider the fact that her training is largely incomplete and ad hoc.

With proper technique, opera is indeed healthy. We have opera singers who graced age with their voice intact mainly because of proper technique.

Do you mean ASAP Natin 'To? Jona was on ASAP on August 20, 2023--the one yesterday, August 27, 2023 was a compilation of encore segments. However, from what I understand--I don't know if was always this way or just since the network problems and the pandemic--three ASAP shows are produced over several days at the beginning of the month, one of which is shown live, and the others are shown on the second and third Sunday of the month, and the last Sunday of the month is a rerun. So the performances on August 13 and August 20 would have been prerecorded.

I realize now you may be referring to Jona as a judge on TNT. I know the TNT segments are not usually broadcast live, but I don't know how far ahead they are recorded.

@@EmeyceeLilanOfficial There seems to be some confusion between what is called a "live stream" and a "live broadcast", and also "performed (or recorded) in front of a live audience". For example, ASAP always says "Live" on the screen, but, at least for a few years--I don't know previously--only one show a month is actually broadcast live. I had heard during the pandemic that the TNT segments of It's Showtime were performed live, but pre-recorded. I know the last TNT finale, just before Jona got sick, was broadcast live. Whether are they record several shows in a day for the week (for example, using the same judges for two or three shows) or they film a show several hours before it's broadcast I don't know. Can you verify that all the TNT segments are actually "broadcast" live in real-time?
