RIP Larry Chance. We lost you today but your legacy will live forever! Anyone who knew him personally, or even met him once or twice, knows what a great man he was. He loved to entertain and tell awesome stories. You will be missed dearly 💔
Larry you are still a great friend. Thank you for the opportunity to sing beside you on stage as an Earl.....that honor and those memories of performing with you will live with me till the day we meet again....Love you my friend RIP
Hope your doing well Nicky, you did great that night in both groups. I’m very sorry about Larry, he was a legend and will never be forgotten. I’m happy to have been able to call Him a friend
Still come back here. My dad will be 85 on Monday that means 15 years ago we had Larry Chance and the earls from my dad‘s 70th birthday wow time flies. All the guys were so young back then as I believe Larry was a few years younger than my dad. I guess my dad‘s lucky he still aroundat 85. He’s doing pretty good except his knees killing him and he can’t get around too much. Visit more often.
I gather Larry's had his health challenges. When you listen to their first recording of this song and follow him through the years, you hear his beautiful voice just keep getting better and better, decades after the early work. For a neat little glimpse of about five years ago, hear him chime in from his table as a young "Cadillac Chris" Ruggiero does this song (it's here on TH-cam). I just love his voice, in a class with very few.
Thanks Larry, your a voice of logic and reason, in country June 67 to June 68 2nd Corps Qui-Nhon, Pleiku Vietnam, God Bless You, be well and stay safe.
Thank You very much for your gallant service to our country. You folks that fought so hard in Vietnam need to know that there are people out there that really do care for your sacrifice.
My dad called me yesterday and I could hear he was shaking and he said his friend Larry Chance died. My dad knew Larry 65 years and was the one who drove him to American bandstand so many decades ago. Larry actually performed at my dad‘s 70th surprise birthday party 14 years ago. My dad was always so proud the way, he spoke about Larry you would’ve thought that was Michael Jackson, I must’ve saw Larry over a dozen times from singing in the parks in the Bronx to my dad‘s 70th birthday to the Tarrytown theater and I think the last time I saw him perform live was 2016 on Tuckahoe Road in Yonkers at the skating rink. I spoke to Larry about seven months ago and I believe my dad spoke to him just a few short months ago once a month, they would all go for dinner, the whole Bronx crew at this little pizzeria in Yonkers and I actually had the pleasure of going a few times. I’m going to post the picture on my channel soon. He used to wear a chain a gold pendant that said I used to be a star no, Larry, you are always a star, I’ll see you when I get there.
@@ellenpacelli Ty. Cancer sucks. It’s a shame. He beat it once I was hoping he beat it again. My mom died of cancer last October 2 at 72 from cancer. I pray they find a cure for cancer before more good people go.
I still come back here from time to time. I was just watching a video from 14 years ago from my dad 70th surprise birthday. I had Larry chance and Earl surprise him. I had all decked out like the 60s appetizers were white castle burgers. Everything was all doo-wop, I had a picture enlarged of my dad and Larry chance from the 60s. I actually have Larry chances demo vinyl of course signed and unfortunately my dad’s 70th birthday 14 years ago we didn’t have the technology due today so the video footage is terrible. I mean terrible but I may still put it up on TH-cam so people could get an idea. I know everyone will complain the video so bad and I said it would be almost perfect 14 or 15 years ago. It wasn’t the norm yet.
One of the greatest of all time I miss chatting with him weekly God I miss him I hope he shines down and gives talent to some young rest in peace Larry love you brother
