    Awd plug in flat towable escape/maverick would just be the best. Why not? 😬🙏🏻🇺🇸

    Most informative video I have seen in a very long time. I am excited to get a plug in hybrid when they become more available. Thank you so much for this, excellent job!

    Thank you for clarifying a few things and for insights that I might never thought to ask. I'm a first time viewer from Jackson, MS, USA. And, I just might have to take you up on that offer to order of of state. Again, thanks and God bless,

    You said the trailer tow package requires all wheel drive, but the PHEV is only front wheel drive, and I was able to order it for my PHEV.

    • @longmcarthurford

      I recorded that clip on the Active and didn't consider that in other trims it may not require awd.

    If I may ask, if I were to go to and from work, could I use the electric battery only and not use the gasoline engine? In addition, I noticed that it would be 39 miles fully charged. If I keep regenerative braking, will I be able to build up that mileage level?

    • @longmcarthurford
      @longmcarthurford  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes to both questions. You can go in all electric mode only using the battery and depending on your driving habits you could get further.

      @@longmcarthurford Okay thanks. Would it be healthier for the battery if I use a 120v or a 240v also?

    There is some confusion regarding if a current order that Ford has confirmed but at a letter date Ford removes one or more options from production of that model - does the dealer need to re-submit the original build order to Ford with the elimination of the dropped option(s)? If so, does this change re-submit delay the build schedule for that customer? I have a PHEV on order as since that time several options have been removed by Ford for my order. Thanks for your time - love your videos.

    • @longmcarthurford
      @longmcarthurford  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the dealer must re-submit the order

    • @BWeezy-sw1wy
      @BWeezy-sw1wy ปีที่แล้ว

      I had seen features just fall off or get added as trim packages change. Dealers don’t contact customers and you find out the new payment and features that were built for your order at the time of transfer.
      We ordered a 2022 PHEV SEL and it’s not built yet. Once it’s built it will be a 2023 PHEV. So the package changed, completely, obviously since there is no more SEL. You wouldn’t want to drop your order and submit a reorder because it might reset your position in line.

    • @longmcarthurford
      @longmcarthurford  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BWeezy-sw1wy All 2022 orders were needed to be put in as new orders for 2023 model year. You might check with your dealer and make sure they did that.

    So how long would we have to wait on this PHEV? Already a year on the Maverick? Does the Federal tax rebate apply?

    • @longmcarthurford
      @longmcarthurford  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not sure on time to build because that depends on dealer allocation. They are being built at 9% rate of total Escape production. It is available for tax credit.

    Are there available to buy or strictly lease? I'm interested in one. Looking and building on the website the option I see is lease option.
    It's builds the vehicle and final tally includes destination, delivery, and lease acquisition fee..
    I drive above average miles and not at all interested in a lease.

    Is the headsup display casted on the windshield or its own seperate glass?

    • @jimsmith94
      @jimsmith94 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's a piece of clear plastic that pops up from the top of the dash. He said it casts onto the windshield but other reviews said it pops up.

    • @longmcarthurford
      @longmcarthurford  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I've only seen it once and it does cast on a peeve of glass that sits on top of the dash if I remember right.

    I just completed my second time through the video to make sure I had not missed anything. That said, I called your dealership last week to inquire about the vehicle covered in this video, the 2023 Ford Escape PHEV (Plug-in Hybrids) and was told that you all only had the 2022 model year and that the 2023s would not be coming until later in the year. Please advise, as I would rather the 2023 with the larger infotainment screen along over the 2022 for my purchase consideration. I'm in Jackson, MS and it appears that all that's here are 2022 models 😢 Please advise. Thanks,

      The 2023 escape models are in production but not out to most dealers yet. most of the vehicles we are getting in are going to be sold units ordered by others. we may have a few that get backed out of and you could possibly purchase on of them. but your best bet would to order one.

    Hi, I read on MetroFord Independence's website that the battery is moved on the 2023 model to 'outside the passenger compartment '. Have you heard anything about this? I'm guessing this would increase passenger space.

    I found 3 dealerships each with 1 2023 PHEV on order. All 3 placed their orders late last year and Ford is building them this week. The first dealership wouldn't take deposits saying it was first come first serve. The second dealership wanted to mark it up to 5k over MSRP due to supply and demand. The third dealership let me reserve the one they have on order so I Just put down a deposit for a 2023 Ford Escape PHEV, fully loaded. The final cost was 49k.. So excited!!

      Don't listen to the guy below. It doesn't at the moment you have to wait for Biden to renew the bill. Also it's not $7,500 because the battery size is a bit smaller. Think it's close to $6,800 if it renews with the same requirements.
