make sure to save your code at the bottom if you don't finish this in one session 🤣😭
Damn, my code got erased and I did not see that save option
Relatable comment right here
😭😭😭😭 I have to start over now
omg I did the same thing lol, the worst
I would also recommend setting your browser to open up where you left off. Doesn't replace saving but it keeps you from opening google to start coding exorcises and ending up surfing instead.
This deserves a like! A very straight forward walkthrough that's very easy to learn from. Thank you 😃
So much help, this has been an amazing video series for someone going thru freeCodeCamp. Thanks again!
Thank you! I'm glad you're going through the course. I hope you can follow along until the end!
Thanks man.
Had a couple of errors I didn't quite understand, watching this helped me figure those out.
Job weldon, Sir. I'll wish to have another tutorial that is self explained like this next time.
Am really happy with your work thanks a lot.
The directions were so clear until I arrive at this project.
That's kind of funny, lol.
As an eager(wannabe) web designer, coding person, I really appreciate that you help me how to do a survey form. I'm trying to learn by imitating what is needed to do. If you have any advice, please do it!
how you going w it>?
Thank you !!!
I LOVE your video very much, you help me a lot when Im learning HTML and CSS.Please keep making such a perfect video in the world. 💯
Hello, thanks for the video.
At 15:10 what keyboard short-cut key did you use for highlighting multiple words that are the same words in order to change the word so that a person does not have to rewrite the same word over and over again?
Ctr + d on Windows
@@landonschlangen thank you.
thanks for all your efforts this was very helpful
This was nice to follow. Helped a lot
Great job!
I did this project. Only html side. It passed, but was not what I wanted. It had zero style and white across. Thank you for showing how to do it completely from html and css. I look forward to making my webpage more vibrant!
Good luck! Styling can be hard sometimes. To get ideas I like to checkout Frontendmentor.io
@@landonschlangen thank you so much for the reply! i literally just finished the project! i am excited to say it doesnt look bad and im proud of it! with more practice and experience i will get better. i am forever grateful for your help.
Thanks, man, I finished that part, much love.
thanks
I just started and haven't seen anything about divs. I think I'm going to do the first 3 or 4 projects again and take notes while I'm doing them
That could help. Although a div is so simple. It's basically just a placeholder/box for other content.
🔥Super helpful! Thank you!
nice haven't got here yet but had to be the 1st to say thank you for another video 🙂
Thank you.
Landon, what is the extension or setting you use for the attributes f.ex after any input you write in VSC? I see them as being listed even after saving on the file. Would be a nice help, as it is making the code extremely well readable , even if it may take up to 5-7 extra lines if needed.
Thank you so much!
f.ex? I am confused. I don't know what you mean
@@landonschlangen not in this video , but in the other videos, anytime you make an
it starts to stack below each other , to me it doesnt do this , just writes it out in one line.
idk how to explain it differently, so i might reply at another video with timer attached
@@MyHeadExplodez Oh I see. I have an extension called Prettier that auto formats my file on save. This is what causes the stacking.
@@landonschlangen myheadexplodez and this acc are the same - thank you so much! i downloaded it :)
it's really helpfull, thank you so much!
your videos are amazing and very helpful. i learnt a lot
Thanks Landon!
Thank you so much for this amazing video. It helps me so much ❤
Hello, I have gotten all the parts done and test passed expect the "every radio button groups should have at least 2 radio buttons" but I have them. I'm so confused
Please help
They need the same name to be considered a group.
How did you write placeholder simultaneously for every part?
Hold down alt while clicking and it will give you multiple cursors.
Thanks buddy
Wer do u link css??
general kenobi
Thanks man!
Damn, it took me two days to make this, and you do it in half-hour!
I've got a lot of experience what can I say?!
You did it without any help?
@@JOChab Yes. I already completed the whole css course.
@@LagrangePoint0 what are you doing now?
@@JOChab Websites.
For me, i did the display flex, and column for flex direction. but the name, input, age are still not larger boxes. idk how to fix that
Maybe add width: 100%;?
@@landonschlangen just tried it, still no luck. the classes are also div class ="input-element", for age, name, and email. so im confused. but maybe ill copy your code word for word ( which is bascially what i did ) just different questions. im confused but i'll ask around thanks
@@nf4life445 I wish you luck!
Hi, thanks for the video, my display flex and column for flex direction didn’t work. Any help?
thanks so much for this video.
Thank you for the video!
Thanks so much for this, I honestly just got tired of reading the directions and so this video really helps
Awesome, that's why I'm here :)
Thank you
it was really helpful thank you so much ur the best🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
How do you select multiple lines before you type in the "value" attributes? @16:42
I hold alt while clicking
Oye bro me puedes pasar el código es que meda error
If I can’t complete the project entirely on my own, should I use your help anyway or go back and preview the lessons until I can? Will continuing on be more difficult?
I would recommend continuing on. When you don't know something, you can google it in the moment. Over time, you'll be able to complete the projects on your own.
@@landonschlangen thanks for the advice! Out of curiosity, how long did it take you to start earning money and did you do anything after completing the freecodecamp certificates?
@@quincyxan23 About 2 years until I earned money from TH-cam. I got a software dev internship after my 2nd year of college for $15/hour. After completing the FCC certificates, I found a job at a startup and started making good money. It takes some time, but it's definitely worth it!
I am not able to create this black colour border around the form. Can you post your code?
You should be able to do border: 1px solid black; I’m not going to post the code, sorry
@@landonschlangen Done. Thank you. Keep up the good work!
@@fareehasarfraz1927 Great Job! Glad to hear it!
I literally just sign up to watch your video and give a fucking like, thank you so much!!!!! I appreciate this a lot you cant imagine :,v good vibes to you landon!!
I love your energy! Let's GO!
@@landonschlangen LETS GOooooooo haha
Hold down what for multiple cursors?
Hold down the alt key
Good video, though I would say that I can't see half of the screen because of your cam xD
Yea :)
Please Landon, What does this "Every radio button group should have at least 2 radio buttons" mean? Kindly explain.
I think it means that 2 radio button should have the same name attribute... making them a "group"
@@landonschlangen Can you please highlight how it's done?
@@adebayoabolaji9604
@@landonschlangen Thanks man!
Is it possible to do this project locally on my computer and then push it to github so that I can host it live from there and after that can I submit the link to my solution in freecodecamp? Back in 2020 we could do that easily.
Yeah, you can absolutely do that!
@@landonschlangen Alright but I don’t see any place where I can put the link. Can u help?
The best 👌
Ok I got that part but it said I only had 20% and took me to next project. Did I pass?
Yes you passed
Great video... But you were blocking the results through out, that wasn't very good.
But I learned a lot from this video
when iam changing something in style.css the preview doesnt changing can someone help ????
Is the selector named correctly?
Thanks very much for this man!!!!!!!
I found this really helpful as a refresher, but you really need to move the camera, it covers way too much and on a very inkontinent position^^
Thanks for the feedback
Using Basketball captivated me😂
Thanks alot
I'm stuck on the task: All your radio buttons should have a value attribute value. if you could help with that would be great
this is my code for that session:
Pick your gender:
Male
Female
Other
It looks like they all have values to me. I don't know why that wouldn't pass.
You are extremely good
Thanks bro! Appreciate it
in my case i just rewrite the whole previous tutorial lmao
Thanks brother
thank youuuu
thank You
Please I need help with this "Failed: You should have a select field with an id of dropdown".
Add id="dropdown" on your select tag:
@@landonschlangen thanks. Still have more questions coming in.
All your radio buttons should have a value attribute and value.
Battling with it.
@@inioluwaolamide-odesilo
If we copy your code will my certificate will be revoked or the chances of dishonesty law
Just copy and tweak, then it's all good
Am i supposed to do this project to recieve the online certification?
Yes, I believe so 🤔
@@landonschlangen Thanks 😊
Fantastic bro. It helped me to make form my website. But i have a question. How to get the submission responses to my Email.
To do that, it gets a bit more complicated
@@landonschlangen so then what is the benefit from this form? How can we review the customer responses?
@@Drugvigil The benefit from building the form is learning how to get user input
@@landonschlangen okay but where the responses will store in this case?
@@Drugvigil nowhere, nothing happens
can you send me a source code?
5:20 woah woah... how did you do that?
Very carefully...🤣Nah, just hold down alt while pressing down your arrow keys.🎁
can you provide the source code pleasee..!!!!
So why divs and not fieldsets?
Just simpler I guess. You can use fieldsets if you'd like
@@landonschlangen oh. And here I was overthinking. Lol Thanks for the quick response.
Also, scroll down and save your code or use notes on your computer don't wanna lose all your work it happened to me :c
This is the fourth time it's happening to me😢
My project is disappearing when am about to finish 😢this is the forth time now
Damn, FreeCodeCamp with their bugs smh
I just don’t understand div lol. Despite getting to this point to create my project.
Just think of div as an empty paragraph box
The copy paste and moving around is so confusing cause I’m so slow.. I think my run ends here 😢
Hey, programming takes patience and persistance. But it's not for everyone, so I respect your decision.
@@landonschlangen I have a lot of anxiety. Sorry.
@@landonschlangenyour video IS very helpful, I’m just overall so confused.
@@vanessavanessa9135 You'll get it eventually. How old are you?
22:02
This has to be the worst project eve created; I've been following all the directions, but my project STILL has major issues. I appreciate your help in this and a few others, but this project is a major headache.
Yep, code is quite particular. One wrong character and it blows up. Very frustrating!
Why does it say 20%complete when I submit it and not 100% like you?
It still said I passed tho.
I submitted my code not yours (for clarification)
@@juanignaciocolombo9584 It's because I had already completed the projects once before.
because you are using the updated version.... you still passed
Your phone screen is obstructing the view of your results
Can you please post your code in the comments?
Why? You should be coding your own form.
Too much backtracking in this video
ok
Watching this makes me think im over complicating the process. I was putting !doctype and header also title, but you just put h1 then p 🫠. Thanks for this vid tho bro
Thank you!!!
