I just got one of these and like it a lot. One thing about parallel charging though, you DON'T need to have batteries that are the same mAh. Voltage is the only thing that matters.
This is a great charger i have two of them and i run both off of my generator at the field i fly all freakin day way more than those fools flying nitro and gas planes
Do you still use it? Does it allow to calibrate the voltage (by depressing "Batt. type + Start" or "Dec. + Start" like in other "four button" chargers before switching on)? I can't find the answer to this anywhere...
Yeah I can control all the parameters of the charge like amps, capacity, and voltage. Charging without balancing allows for more control over voltage. I still use it every week and it’s doing a lot of heavy lifting charging my eight 8s 5000’s batteries
Thank you for the quick answer, David. By "calibrate the voltage" I meant the special service menu that you can enter by depressing the "Batt. type + Start" or "Dec. + Start" buttons at the same time during switching it on. In most of "four-button chargers" this allows you to correct the values that are measured by the charger for each cell while measuring the cells by some precise multimeter - by entering the shift-values for each cell voltage measured by the charger. This allows you to make the charger be measuring the cell voltages as precise as possible, to eliminate overcharge/overdischarge... So this feature is kinda important, 'cause sometimes the chargers are not calibrated very well out of the factory. So my question was exactly about this capability of this charger: this can be done in most of the "four-button chargers"...
@@PapaDave208 thank you very much for the reply I have the dynamite version but it's dropped a channel so I want to replace it but didnt want to run in2 issues if these have issues
I bought mine 7 years ago and it's still going strong!

Can I charge 4 6cell batteries at the same time 5,200mah
Octane 209 I charge four 8s batteries at the same time, so I’d say yes :)
How long did this last you
Still have it, still working. Used less this past year as I moved across the country

can i use xt30 charging cable?
Yeah if you have the right connectors to to plug them in 👍🏼
@@PapaDave208 great. Thanks!
