BTW, this is not a spoiler. The elemental cat that they think he is are special in a few ways. First, most people don't see them as monsters. While they are very intelligent and can understand human speech, they of course can't speak. Second, they call them elemental cats because they can use magic. Usually it's only one element though. Third, they are very rare animal to come across. So if you can find one and befriend it, you can have a strong ally with you. As you seen in the flashback, they do get to be a good size.
