I personally think that Hit rocks one of the hardest fits in Dragon Ball as a whole. Sure, it’s a little simple, but the fact that he’s wearing a trench coat and he’s an assassin work so well together
the reason hit has a stomp and things of the like, is because in a 2D fighting game, there's a high/low mixup, where you have to block accordingly depending on the attack. Mids you can block standing or crouching, but lows, you have to crouch block. So Hit has a stomp, a boxer's dirty "low attack," for gameplay purposes. Without a low, he would be super, super weak, as it's a fundamental option every character should have. For what it is, I think it's very fitting, personally.
The upper hand DB has among all the Japanese Manga I believe is its fighting, the reference to kung-fu, boxing and so on. The manga, TV series both have a smooth acting like perfect movie fight scenes. DFZ is an excellent re-explain of the craft. Looking forward to more stuffs like that.

If you look closely at Hits outfit, you can notice the shading is more detailed on the overlaping layers of the lower part of its coat, while in the Anime version it just looks flat.

I suppose the flames are more visually noticable, but still. Plus the simple outline would've fit his trickster playstyle better.

My favorite things about Hit is that his combat stance looks like he's holding a gun, and his body armor minus the floppy coat bit looks just like the armor pickups from Classic DOOM.

Like they don't realize that the anime is ten times more popular to the casual market. I like both and I'm glad some references from the manga are here. It just makes the characters that more special.
I don't really care about the anime all tat much, but if we are talking about characters for gameplay, then even if they followed the manga. It would get kind of old after a while. Its more fun when they combine move-sets for characters like Hit or Goku Black, but I wish they made manga versions of Goku and Vegeta just so I could spam Gamma Burst Flash.
the beatdown in his ultimate is a repeated 3 hits that he shows in the panel he finishes off vegeta in in the manga, you missed that one. oh and the downward punch seems to be slightly based on his fight with SS goku in the manga as well (they clash fists so it's never fully shown)
That manga punch isn't that angled to match here. I agree on the beatdown though, the only thing that changes are some of the poses Hit makes, but the fists are the same
