My grandpa got me a A guitar because I asked for one and all he asked for was for me to learn a song he could sleep to:) he’s always wanted to play guitar but was born with two fingers missing on his left hand so he could never play, he was so happy when I asked for one and the smile on his face when I played this song was worth spending an hour to learn it. So thank you for making this.
Edit: Small update, my grandpa passed away a few months ago, me and my family took the loss hard but I still played for him one last time before he passed. I had learned more songs etc etc but I still played this one, just one more time, it was the first he ever got to hear me play and sadly the last. I love my grandpa to death and still am doing my best to keep on getting better for him

Great Beginner song, I was happily shocked when my 12 year old sister wanted to learn, so i started teaching her this, its only been 3 days and she can almost play half the song whitout any previus experience. Im a proud big brother

I just started playing guitar, and holy crap is it interesting. My fingers feel sliced into a billion pieces, but I know overtime they will heal and form calluses. I’m glad I started with this song. It wasn’t too hard, and definitely motivated me too keep going.

That's great! Me too, i just learn guitar for a month, now my hands feel like rubber, it's not hurt anymore. But i have a very big problem is the F chords, i learn new song very fast, but that F chords is stopping me from keep going and learn new song. I was thinking about leave it. But i found this song easy and i start to learn it, it give me alots of joy and motivation to keep practicing, learning. Now i can play the F chords! All thanks to this song!

This took me 3 whole days to try to learn and ive been trying over and over again, i almost lost hope but remembered that thats not how real mugicians learn music so i just kept going. This helped me a lot, thank you. I finally learnt the song but now i need to memorize it without watching the video. Thank you again!😊

We've had a guitar sitting in our house, and occasionally someone will pick it up a ND try to learn, but give up pretty quick. So I decided to give it a go since I love music. I've been practicing for a month now, lessons and then practice this on the side. I can play the intro :D
I can no longer play the intro, the guitar strings broke and since it's a cheap guitar, it won't restring, just pops. I got a new guitar for Christmas, my very own this time, it took me until today to start playing again since I didn't like the strings it came with, but they're actually not bad, it just took some getting used to :)

My dad plays the guitar in a worship band at my church,so he knows a-lot. he is a wonderful player, and I’m learning to play the guitar to make him happy. He’s been struggling a lot to I hope even if he died I’ll be able to play a song for him

I know my comment isn't going to be the song, but I want to share a quick little story about playing the guitar. I have been playing since December of 2022 and still learning the basics from borrowing books at the library to videos like this. A church that I go to have mostly elders so some elders talk to me about what they had listened to in the 60s and 70s, but one elder in particular kept me going with guitar as I was having trouble finding songs to learn and want to step out of my comfort zone by trying new stuff rather than Imagine Dragons. This elder and I were talking about different kinds of music and this was when they decided to tell me about how much they loved "The Beatles" and if I knew any songs from them that I would consider learning. I happily said yes and asked them if they wanted me to learn "Yesterday". They said yes and we parted ways. The next time we went to church, I showed them the song and was complimented on how I was almost playing correctly and that I needed to rearrange certain parts(I didn't take this rude, they were giving advice nicely). I told them that I would figure out my mistake and show them on the day of Bible Study. They said it would be fine, as long as they could sing along. The day comes and I'm feeling confident and proud for the little performance. When I told to show them, I was not expecting an extra four people. I was a bit nervous when everyone had started to quiet down to hear me that I messed it up a little bit and quickly got back on track. I guess I did a good job because I had gotten applause from all five people in the room. A little while later on a regular Sunday, we had enough time to watch a little of Eddie and the Cruisers which is a movie about a guy who plays guitar and all that stuff about bands. During the movie, I was told by the elder "Cruella fan, that could be you soon!" And then everyone was joking about how there would be a movie about me and my guitar. Sorry it took me a little long to tell a simple story, I just thought it would be nice to share.
