  • Pre 1986 Classic bike show with great range of immaculate bikes including Police, Rotary, Dirt, Street, cruiser and Turbo bikes. These are from a local club and as you can see, very good examples and many are ridden regularly. It is a credit to the owners and the people who have restored these bikes and then to maintain them in such great condition.

    At one time or another I’ve ridden many of these bikes. Not that I owned them all, but thru friends and swapping bikes I’ve ridden a bunch of them. I started back in 67’ as a kid of 12. The one that I always wanted to ride but never got the chance was the Kawasaki H2 750. Nothing less than great memories. Notable favorites was the 67’ 305 Superhawk and a 70’ CB 350. Presently got a 75’ Z1b sitting in the garage in all its glory. At the local cars and coffee it always draw an admiring crowd to those in the know. 😎

    6:49 - The Stingers were interesting little bikes, they had a great exhaust/engine note. 17:34 - Honda SL125, a nice looking bike.

      AGREE! When I thought of all the ones I used to watch around our streets and ride with and even had many posters of these on my bedroom walls.

    Some great memories there , my first real bike was a cb350, later a kz1000, mate had 2 z900's, simpler days back then . Still got a tx650 and a TR1 , it stays in the blood, too wet for riding lately . Central Nth-Isle,gumboot-land

    The Japanese seem to making different versions for different markets in different counties, So Europe had mainly road bikes and USA/ Australia had a lot of Off road and trail bikes.

    • @202ToranaMan
      @202ToranaMan  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It may have been demand. Australia and NZ did not have any mass produced local dirt bikes where as Europe had plenty of marques but were expensive in other markets, the Japanese introduce low cost bikes and good dealerships the bikes we got were often rebadged USA bikes and dirt bikes were mainly 2 strokes, even Honda had to produce 2 stroke off roaders. The 60's and 70's changed so much, I look at todays bikes and can hardly tell one from another. Here in NZ the early 70's saw Japas making big sales increases over British and Harleys were rare.

    Very nice show!! Thank you!You showed. A Suzuki twin . Rm250?

    • @202ToranaMan
      @202ToranaMan  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, although it has 315 on the seat. Back in the early 80's I owned a highly modified 'PE/RM" hybrid and this reminded me alot of it as it appears to be a home built using a T350 twin which was actually 315cc.

    Sehr viele Modelle des gleichen Typs, aber wenig Modelle von einer Marke. Das ist für mich keine Ausstellung von älteren Motorräder , wenn man 5 CBX 1000, 4 Z 1000 ausstellt, da gehören alle Modelle einer Marke dazu.
