16 months ago it was announced that Claas and MarGe Models would be teaming up to design and build the latest in the Lexion 1/32 range. Immediately I was excited to see the results of this partnership and now the time has come. Much like its 1/1 big brother, this 8900 was redesigned from the ground up and is unlike any we have seen before. The model arrives in unique packaging carrying the limited edition 2,000 piece stamp.
MarGe have a reputation for using as many metal parts as feasible and this Lexion combined ( no pun intended ) with its header and header trailer, weighs in at a whopping 3.1Kg which I believe is the heaviest model in the history of scale farm models. At the front we get the largest header available, a 13.8 Claas Convio 1380 which attaches to the feeder house easily. Everything to do with this combine is next level, the quality of the paint finish, functionality, detail, presentation, I couldn't say enough good things.
While some would prefer to have opening side panels, I do not believe this was necessary if the result had of compromised the overall look. We are treated to many functional features including height adjustable feeder house, straw chopper, folding ( metal ) auger and side steps to name but a few.
Twin rotor design comes equipped with the field scanner pod on top of the metal roofed cab. While we are without access to the cab, the interior is detailed including Claas logo shown on the operators seat. Folding steps which are well made are also constructed of metal including the guard rails.
!8,000L grain tank unfolds with ease, ,metal doors are joined together way the fitting of rubber inserts with a viewing window for the operator to monitor what's happening inside the tank.
Overall I believe this to be the best 1/32 combine yet. The MarGe & Claas partnership has more than met expectations and whether its the 8900 or 6900 these Lexions are sure to be a hit with model fans throughout 2021 and beyond.
Highly recommended !!

I would but there’s not more I can show that would be of much interest, there will be something similar but different coming
Hello friend, I have a forum request as your videos with agricultural models inspire me a lot, could you make a video for me in which you will show if the cutting unit of the lexion 780 model from viking will fit the lexion harvester from norev
Very nice model got some nice finishes not sure obout the rubber tracks
I found on the example I have the rubber itself was stuck until I made a number of rotations. It then freed up somewhat.
Da will man am liebsten einsteigen 😄
Ja das ist der größte Mähdrescher weltweit der claas lexion 8900.
Nice! I got mine today, too!
What do you think: is ist possible to fold the graintank while the pvc sheets are still mounted?
Greetz
Hi Chris, unfortunately they won’t close with the sheets fitted due to the sequence they fold !
@@AgriFarmModelsTV yes thats true... I also tried it about 10 times for at least an hour :-)
So, something I can live with.
love it even though already!!
Need the 8800 with wheels also 👍🏽
Vid comming?
I have the wheeled 8700 general release for a video !! Let’s not forget that there will be the 6000 series coming too !!
@@AgriFarmModelsTV Right!!!! They are on delay like my Ex always was 😅
I just orderd the 8800 @the Claas shop.
The 8900 isn‘t available anymore, so I got a little panik :-)
Do you think that Marge Model will make maizes cuts for the claas lexion 8900 or the 6900 ?
I will ask.. looking forward to seeing those 6900s now
Vreau și Eu una La fel Cobină
Do you test if the combine is compatible with wiking cutter?
Hi Cedric, I ll find out for you now !
@@AgriFarmModelsTV do you know?
Do you think it's a better model than the Wiking 780?
100% .. the 780 is more functional, but side by side, no comparison
Easily twice the weight of the 780
I'm getting that same model but it's a 770
Hi Joey,
The 770 is a lovely model, made by a different company and has many functional items by comparison to the MarGe models Lexion shown above. Side by side, the 8900 is probably twice the weight of the wiking 770 due to the many metal parts MarGe have incorporated into their range.
Thanks for stopping by the channel and taking the time to comment.

price
Only available on the second hand market now so keep an eye out on the Facebook model forums or EBay
How much did that cost
You’re looking at €199 for the 8900 TT and €189 for the wheeled 8800.
That’s the RRP as set down by Claas and MarGe. Some are taking advantage of limited numbers and setting much inflated prices. I hope collectors avoid these people.
@@AgriFarmModelsTV yeah cost me £218
@@justherefox7 I've heard recently that they are making 240-250 pounds so you done ok Darren, happy with the model ?
@@AgriFarmModelsTV yes I am very happy. The detail to it is immense. Surprisingly heavier than you'd expect but that's down to the product materials used by Marge Models. My only criticism really is getting the black pipe connecting from combine to the header and same with the yellow hydraulics. Both were difficult to connect up. Same with the grain tank putting the pvc on. Took me an about an hour n half to get them to stay in place. Otherwise for the price paid for the limited edition piece (mine was one from a thousand made) and the criticisms mentioned above well worth it. My only recommendation to others who may end up buying one is to be cautious with certain parts, header, the mirrors, the ladders for the cab.
