34:08 _“…but demographically she is very likely to be a feminist unless I do something about it. Um my view is feminist arguments are so weak and my arguments are so strong that if I just go and talk to her about it in a reasonable way I think that will at least raise a lot of doubts in her mind and she's not going to be a fanatic for this stuff…”_
-Better late than never, however, too late none the less! Feminism is now woven into the fabric of the cultural subjective consensus. Be it explicitly or implicitly, most are feminist weather they realize it or not. It is the religion of the time and, unfortunately, reason does little to change the minds of those seduced by popular religion. At this point, the best that can be done is to explicitly label it as a religion. Once it is recognized as a religion, advocation to remove it from institutions can begin.

As to the feminist issues, the speaker demonstrates why a pure economic analysis is deficient- or at least as deficient as any other pure or single focused approach. For example, let’s assume that a feminist claims that nurses are underpaid. Using a pure economic analysis, one would claim that their economic value and skills are less valuable than a physician or surgeon. But then ask why are nurses paid at the level far lower than say for example airline pilots? As WWII demonstrated, hundreds of thousands of civilians can be drafted into the military and trained as pilots and receive relatively low wages at least compared to the civilian workforce. So why do airline pilots ( traditionally male dominated ) whose job is mostly now monitoring the on board computer systems and auto pilot get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars more than skilled nurses? Whatever reasoning you employ to answer this question demonstrates that it cannot be answered purely by economics. An economist will argue that in my example it would be improper to compare nursing to airline pilots- it’s an apples to oranges comparison. Logically it may be apples to oranges but it isn’t an unfair comparison if you’re using human psychology or a moral or ethical approach. Same goes for another traditionally female associated job- teaching- who are paid far less than cops. The economic analysis is devoid of bias- and that unfortunately divorces itself from reality.

Any one who believes in a self regulating all fair market is delusional. There’s no such thing and never has been. If there was anything even close to it, there wouldn’t be any need for government regulation nor even for unions or trade associations. And I chose to compare two jobs that are professional in nature and that require a minimum of a 4 year training. Your comparison of an RN to a janitor completely lacks statistical occupational correlation.

@@morgan14366what do you expect- a comparison study by occupation on this TH-cam page? Right. lol. Given the rampant income inequality in the USA, my opinion is solidly in the majority while you’re all omniscient market forces is believed only by the 0.1 percent and the MAGA crowd.
