I just decided last night after about 20 games that the swipera is one of those tanks that isn't fun to play and isn't fun to play against. Good to know I'm not the only one.
Pretty much the whole italian td line is like that. And the new chinese rocket tanks are going to be even worse if the bz premium is anything to judge by.
Damn I personally enjoyed the hell out of 263 mostly cause the armor, mobility, and punchy gun. Though the accuracy did make me livid sometimes and in uptiers the armor can be quite lackluster As for the Vipera it was pretty fun on drop cause people were pretty afraid to approach it but as of now it’s a super bland and niche vehicle that still manages to ruin the game for some vehicles it encounters. Overall Italian “TDs” were a horrid addition to the game and really wish WG would move away from the damn hull down meta already (might actually see that with the Japanese TDs)
This is me with the Defender. Everyone says its OP and idiot proof but I just cannot play the tank. Gun handling is shit and people spam gold so my armors worthless anyway. I hardly see tier 6s or tier 7s so my experience with the "OP" tank is not that great. I also have Vipera and don't really like it.
Kinda funny how "Swipera" in the title led me thinking "Swipe Pera" which Pera means Money on our language. And the tank being a Premium tank so you have to Swipe Money to get it xD
My favorite tank so far from the boxes is the iron arnie. It fits my playstyle more. After 80 games in it I have an average of 1100 exp, 65% win rate and 2,000 average damage. The BZ is fun, but overall the iron arnie is my favorite. Its like a new super pershing.

That scorpion g player in the second game is a typical horrible player. He tells his team how much they suck, yet does 500 damage. For anyone who lets these poor players get to them...don't. The ones with the biggest mouths are usually the worst players. Just ignore them.
The only complaint I have with this tank is the mobility, other than that it’s a solid tank when hull down against tier 8s and almost op against lower tiers as long as you don’t get swarmed. Tier IX and X matches are a bit of luck. The armor can ricochet shells, but considering it’s a gold fest, a lot of tier 9 and 10 tanks can pen your armor but sometimes it can bounce too.
Light tank even can bounce too sometime. But this TD cannot stay back to be sniper, gun handling is very bad. Armor can not hold when you are at front to against T8 heavies and meds. If you show front hull a little bit angle then everyone can pan my hull.
This video is like when you take your car to the mechanic for making a strange noise and then when the mechanic looks at your vehicle it's running better than it has in 3 years
Absolutely true, this tank is not as good as I thought. It's not a bad tank, it can bully quite some tomatoes but it's far from a great tank. Everything on this tank is unreliable. Speed is acceptable. Gun is not super horrible but still one of the worse gun at tier 8. The only pros of this gun is close-range potential where you meet someone who can't pen you and doesn't have speed to run away, then you can chew on them without asking their names. Other than that, you can pray for your shots to go where you aim. Armor looks quite idiot-proof and should be the highlight of this tank but it's actually not. There are quite some tier 8 tanks that can pen you straight in the face, let alone tier 9 & 10. Playing with this tank, you should expect everyone will spam gold at you simply because everyone can afford to spam gold nowaday. There are A LOT of tanks that can overmatch this tank as well. So in reality, armor of this tank is not that strong and its HP is pretty low at 1300, which means you can't make many mistakes. There will be many situations where you take only 3 pens and you're already dead. All in all, neither a bad tank nor a great tank. If you're easy with your judge then call it a good tank. For me, this tank is below good and it's super bad for my playstyle. Averaging only 3k combined per game with a tier 8 premium is not good for me, especially when it makes you feel like you're so fcking limited. I can play with bad gun handling but not with bad flexibility. Yes this tank is very inflexible.
i have 20-30 games in and i'm doing my tier 10 class dps. obviously ive been ultra lucky with the games, but it feels like a strong and punishing tank that can go 1v1 vs higher tier tanks with its armor and hit points.

Got this thing as a rental when I returned after like 4 years and it was pretty fun tbh, not insanely engaging and tactical but nice to get used to the game again.
2rd game really shows it, so I believe you Skill, it might hit some shots you think you should have missed but when you need it to hit a shot it just won't hit anything. I really liked my tier 7 at first too, but now that I am fully upgraded, it doesn't block shots anymore, and it can't hardly hit anything when I really need it to. So weird.
I agree with you, Skill. I used Vipera to train my ITA TD crew, but plan to never play the tank again. I don't mind overmatchable armor, but the tank needs to be maneuverable enough to dodge shots (like a light tank).
Initially I thought it was horrible, but after playing it some more and also playing the tier 8 smv, it sorta grew on me. The clip is pretty decent, armour is alright and it has good depression, but thats really it
@@Ol_White_Fatalis I'm not so sure. I played both and overall I think the Vipera is better. The SMV has the marginal better turret and a bit more gold pen, but Vipera has the bigger clip and a hull that can actually bounce smth whilst I got penned by light tanks frontally on the upper plate in SMV.
@@casuscnactus4864 Bit more gold pen? 264 vs 300 is a big difference, and smv also has better accuracy and it's gun is just more reliable. Also, having a bigger clip isn't always better, it depends alot on situations, and i'd say having less downtime reloading is generally better in most situations, especially if one gun is more accurate than the other like in this case. And yeah, Vipera has better hull, and that's about it. It has worse gun, worse turret, worse mobility... Idk man, i think vipera is worse in almost every situation cause of all those disadvantages. Having only a better hull doesn't make up at all.

I don't have this tank...But from what I saw in this vid, if you aim FULLY you hit where you aim 80% of the time (and since this tank is not made for sniping I say that's fair). The thing with some of the misses and bounces that I saw, was more due to lack of penetration and snap shoots that you took Skill. As far as the armor goes you can't expect to reliably bounce 330 HEAT of tank destroyers in any tier 8 tank (I'm referring to the 2'nd game). For me this tank is OP but again I didn't play with it just against it, and it feels like if you play against chief... all you can do is run (unless you play with tier 8 TD with gold)
Viperä: when you are top tier this thing is absolutely disgusting to play against. T6-T7 are helplesss T8 sturggle. T9 T10 this is barely more than noticable speed bump when you load 300+ mm penetrating Heat ammo. This is perfect example +/-2 matchmaking was bad idea and WG has long stopped even trying balacing it: just buy gold round.
I bought the tank a while ago, and I’m so sorry I did that 😁 Bad penetration, bad aiming, bad accuracy, hits when it wants not when I need 😁 Win ratio 40%. it’s a stress, I don’t recommend it.
I love/need the Vipera's armor. I admit it. I use it as a brawler, up front using it's armor just as much as it's gun and I do all right. Not spectacular, but all right.
You will only see the current HP values within your render and signal range. In order to get the real HP values every tank needs to be within your render and signal range.
To me, the Vipera is very annoying to deal with since most of the tier-8 tanks I play regularly do not have 122+ guns. It is ruining the game, together with several newly added premium tier-8 tanks.
I can make the gun work with aiming device, but as you said the armor is annoying. One game it works and you bounce 6k damage, the other game evryone pens your turret roof or lower plate with standard rounds.
Sniping with standard ammo at 140's frontal plate and not fully aiming doesn't mean the tank is bad. But I do agree that the tank isn't good for sniping in general.
When i played it for the first time i didnt like it, for some reason i decided to recover the vehicle and give it another shot..it requires patient approach..knowing when to reload, using gun dep. Where it is possible..it really depends on your playing style how will you love it. For some people vipera bz and iron arnie dont work at all..i got my first mark of e. On vipera and i can do a lot of mess with it:)
I got the Vipera in the loot boxes, and I'm not a unicorn by any means. I've been struggling with it and the BZ which I also got. I don't know if both have a skill cap, or I just assumed they were both invincible when I started playing them. I've gotten better at both, but not consistent or great on either. EDIT --- you are spot on when you say you cannot trust the armor or the gun ... its looks great on paper, but doesn't always deliver
For me this is a great tank, I have 2,3k average damage after 63 battles, though it was 2,6k up until around 50 battles before I had a bad streak of games where I couldn't keep up with the front line of battle
I got a couple tanks from the boxes including this one. It was probably the one I needed the least since I had already completed the Minotauro line. It feels like this tank is also the most disappointing to play out of any of the premium tanks I got. The tech tree Italian TD at tier 8 is so much more fun than this tank.
Accuracy is suitable for close combat, but it has almost no armor to play like that and intra clip reload is super long. It's basically a bad heavy tank
Skiiiiiiil - I am so bad with Vipera - only 1,8k DPG. Lot of players - have problem to get 1,8k DPG at X tanks. I would like to know their reaction to your DPG at Vipera :D
If top tier you Can plow thru and smash. Even or uptiered you’re probably getting penned and smashed. It’s ok but it’s growing on me slightly. I’m averaging about 1000dmg with it but I’m probably uptiered 75% of the time. Happy holidays
Tanks designed for gold spam, if you play with it and if you play Vs it. It was BETTER with no Vipera and other similar tanks Old tanks with good armor used to have BIG CUPOLA. Those modern tanks require laser rng to hit them if they are hulldown
Have this and it’s not my cup of tea, but it’s so OP. Regular 3500+ games and averaging 2450. Just don’t play it like a sniper. Really needs a bit of a nerf.
This tank is one of the most overpowered in the game. One of the prime examples of "Too much armor. Too good of a gun. No weakspots." Can't flank it because of the ridiculous autoloader and turret. Have no idea how many shots it has in it's magazine at any given time because it has way too many shots. Absolutely stupid armor that that realistically nothing can pen without either high end premium rounds or overmatching a tiny pixel on top or a ridiculously small lower lower plate that you will never see. Topped of with "haha 10 degrees of gun depression for some reason." This thing just completely ruins matches. It is the antithesis of "This just isn't fun to have in the game." These things are basically able to make up for any downside by just being a wall that nobody can get through. 400 damage 5 round autoloader if you decide to be brave and attempt to outplay it. They can sit there and shoot you all day safely and there is just nothing you can do in return. Overmatching is almost never an option realistically because it is the literal definition of pixel shot. The italian TDs are probably 60% of the reason why I quit the game again. The Vipera is one of the most blatant examples of them making an overpowered tank to cash in on.
Lakeville is such an unbalanced map on the 1-2 line. The team in the north has a huge advantage because they are way above the South team so they can overmatch the armor on the top of enemy tanks, and North tanks can stay hull down.
I feel like you wantedly showcasing the tank as bad, i got the tank in only thing I can't enjoy the tank is BZ176, there are like 3,4 bz in each team and 2 shots i am dead otherwise I am having pretty good scores everytime
I actually like this tank. Don't get me wrong, it's not the greatest. But it does give you the flexibility as a TD to make up for maybe a missing heavy or heavies without armor while still being able to sit in the back and maybe just ridgeline some people. Again, it's not the greatest, but if you want to have a little more flexibility in your kit this is a decent choice.
I dont like my vipera, its too derpy but in a bad way, not kv2 way. Its too inconsistent with everything and a thing i hate about italian TDs is when you stop the gun bounces. Feel almost same as you, can tell its good and had a few good games with it, but not for me. My friends love theirs and love platooning up with them
No, its not just you @skill4ltu, i don'T like it either. Gun handling is horrible, intraclip too long for the clip to be relevant, armor is only on front but side is so weak everyone can penetrate it even in extreme angles, its mostly going against tier 10 and they just load heat and auto aim. I absolutely never understood why people call it OP there is nothing OP about it. Since i opened it from lootboxes i havent been a single time on Paris or Berlin, mostly open maps with 3 lights and 2 artas. Plus the fact that BZs can slap it for 900 everywhere but the upper front doeasnt really help either.

300mm effective frontal turret armor, unpenetratable hatches on top of turret, front hull is 254-265mm of effective armor. there is one line worth of pixel in the lower-lower plate that has zero armor (23mm) to "balance" things out. tier for tier this thing has more armor than the maus or is7, and we justify all these BS with "bad gun handling"? seriously? even the BS-176 has 2 1 pixel worth of hatches on top of turret you can actually pen.
I find it to be meh. If you can get hull down against a bunch of mediums its nice lol. It simply doesn't have any pen, if you can get against some lower tiers its fun.
I completely agree with you skill. just got it and its way overrated. Sure, doing 2000 in 20s is kinda OP, especially since you can basically play like a sudo-single shot heavy. However, armor doesn't mean shit when 122mm+ can overmatch your entire roof. Not to mention, the gun handling is truly terrible. However, at the same time, I love this because it means its balanced for the game. It has good dmg output but not without drawbacks. A semi-strong balanced tank IMO. Regardless, its pain for me to play. requires way more patience than you'd think and I just can't with the gun.
I agree i hate it with all my soûl i cannot make it work cant hit or pen anything and I dont seem to bounce enemies that much but it general i think its a op tank
Im having good results in the vipera. But this is the only tank that makes me rage quit. It really angers me every time i play it. I hate it. The gun is awful.
I stopped at tier 7 and did not went along the tech tree line, tanks are soooo slow, armor is unreliable, gun handling is worse than IS... the only good one for me was the Bassoto.
The Vipera feels bad to play because it does not reward you for your knowledge of the game. People complain about borrasque less because it actually rewards skilled players, even if it is overall overpowered. This tank takes your skill and throws it in the dumpster.

This thing is one of the most uncomfy, unflexible, & hard to play well tier 8 premiums I owned and I got it from my guaranteed drop. Honestly one of the least enjoyable/fun premiums I have ever played its incredibly clunky and boring while being low skill floor with a low skill ceiling.

Armor alright? It's too good to be fair excluding the horrible 40mm forehead plate.
1v1 vipera can win with any tier VIII td, ht and med if they cant flank.
In fact, smv is alot better. It is more mobile, has better gun, and also better turret. Strange this days, but it's actually the case xD.

I got the Vipera in the loot boxes, and I'm not a unicorn by any means. I've been struggling with it and the BZ which I also got. I don't know if both have a skill cap, or I just assumed they were both invincible when I started playing them. I've gotten better at both, but not consistent or great on either.
EDIT --- you are spot on when you say you cannot trust the armor or the gun ... its looks great on paper, but doesn't always deliver
I got it from the boxes days ago have not even tried it yet. I was so dissappointed, it was the only tank from the boxes that i did not want...

For me this is a great tank, I have 2,3k average damage after 63 battles, though it was 2,6k up until around 50 battles before I had a bad streak of games where I couldn't keep up with the front line of battle
I have a few great games 4-5K in this tank and then just nothing. I don't get it. I'm making the same shots and they just bounce.
I got a couple tanks from the boxes including this one. It was probably the one I needed the least since I had already completed the Minotauro line. It feels like this tank is also the most disappointing to play out of any of the premium tanks I got. The tech tree Italian TD at tier 8 is so much more fun than this tank.
I think it sucks. I didnt even get through unlocking the field mods.
how can you go with this tank honestly? you have massive armor which allows you to be hulldown at any time without having to wiggle
Accuracy is suitable for close combat, but it has almost no armor to play like that and intra clip reload is super long.

Skiiiiiiil - I am so bad with Vipera - only 1,8k DPG. Lot of players - have problem to get 1,8k DPG at X tanks. I would like to know their reaction to your DPG at Vipera :D

Can plow thru and smash. Even or uptiered you’re probably getting penned and smashed. It’s ok but it’s growing on me slightly. I’m averaging about 1000dmg with it but I’m probably uptiered 75% of the time. Happy holidays

Old tanks with good armor used to have BIG CUPOLA. Those modern tanks require laser rng to hit them if they are hulldown

Have this and it’s not my cup of tea, but it’s so OP. Regular 3500+ games and averaging 2450. Just don’t play it like a sniper. Really needs a bit of a nerf.

This tank is one of the most overpowered in the game. One of the prime examples of "Too much armor. Too good of a gun. No weakspots." Can't flank it because of the ridiculous autoloader and turret. Have no idea how many shots it has in it's magazine at any given time because it has way too many shots. Absolutely stupid armor that that realistically nothing can pen without either high end premium rounds or overmatching a tiny pixel on top or a ridiculously small lower lower plate that you will never see. Topped of with "haha 10 degrees of gun depression for some reason." This thing just completely ruins matches. It is the antithesis of "This just isn't fun to have in the game."
These things are basically able to make up for any downside by just being a wall that nobody can get through. 400 damage 5 round autoloader if you decide to be brave and attempt to outplay it. They can sit there and shoot you all day safely and there is just nothing you can do in return. Overmatching is almost never an option realistically because it is the literal definition of pixel shot. The italian TDs are probably 60% of the reason why I quit the game again. The Vipera is one of the most blatant examples of them making an overpowered tank to cash in on.

The tanks I do good with is M2 Medium , and the M3 Stuart so thank you for saving me from wasting my money on this tank
Lakeville is such an unbalanced map on the 1-2 line. The team in the north has a huge advantage because they are way above the South team so they can overmatch the armor on the top of enemy tanks, and North tanks can stay hull down.
The problem is that you can only trust the armor against tourists. Anyone else knows the weak points.
I feel like you wantedly showcasing the tank as bad, i got the tank in only thing I can't enjoy the tank is BZ176, there are like 3,4 bz in each team and 2 shots i am dead otherwise I am having pretty good scores everytime
I actually like this tank.
Don't get me wrong, it's not the greatest.
But it does give you the flexibility as a TD to make up for maybe a missing heavy or heavies without armor while still being able to sit in the back and maybe just ridgeline some people.
Again, it's not the greatest, but if you want to have a little more flexibility in your kit this is a decent choice.
I don't think you are doing a great job if you are sitting back in a vipera unless facing specifically +2 mm opponents
I dont like my vipera, its too derpy but in a bad way, not kv2 way. Its too inconsistent with everything and a thing i hate about italian TDs is when you stop the gun bounces.
Feel almost same as you, can tell its good and had a few good games with it, but not for me. My friends love theirs and love platooning up with them

No, its not just you @skill4ltu, i don'T like it either. Gun handling is horrible, intraclip too long for the clip to be relevant, armor is only on front but side is so weak everyone can penetrate it even in extreme angles, its mostly going against tier 10 and they just load heat and auto aim. I absolutely never understood why people call it OP there is nothing OP about it. Since i opened it from lootboxes i havent been a single time on Paris or Berlin, mostly open maps with 3 lights and 2 artas. Plus the fact that BZs can slap it for 900 everywhere but the upper front doeasnt really help either.

300mm effective frontal turret armor, unpenetratable hatches on top of turret, front hull is 254-265mm of effective armor. there is one line worth of pixel in the lower-lower plate that has zero armor (23mm) to "balance" things out. tier for tier this thing has more armor than the maus or is7, and we justify all these BS with "bad gun handling"?
seriously? even the BS-176 has 2 1 pixel worth of hatches on top of turret you can actually pen.
I find it to be meh. If you can get hull down against a bunch of mediums its nice lol. It simply doesn't have any pen, if you can get against some lower tiers its fun.

I completely agree with you skill. just got it and its way overrated. Sure, doing 2000 in 20s is kinda OP, especially since you can basically play like a sudo-single shot heavy. However, armor doesn't mean shit when 122mm+ can overmatch your entire roof. Not to mention, the gun handling is truly terrible. However, at the same time, I love this because it means its balanced for the game. It has good dmg output but not without drawbacks. A semi-strong balanced tank IMO. Regardless, its pain for me to play. requires way more patience than you'd think and I just can't with the gun.
9 games and i sold that tank. Armor works like kaku and dpm is a same sh**. One of the worst t8 TD´s.
I got the skill4ltu commander and I promptly put him in charge of the Swipera. Blyatiful.
Swipera is really campy for assault td. You get even little of crossfire an it just melts. Still really strong td.

Im having good results in the vipera. But this is the only tank that makes me rage quit. It really angers me every time i play it. I hate it. The gun is awful.
meanwhile when I do play vipera I have to FULLY aim every single shot and still miss about 40% xD
that is my grille 15 experience.
If i wanna play Premium tanks i rather play skoda t56 and löwe or if i feel like ruining some games i play bz 176.
i really feel that, I now average like 1.5k dmg in skoda but in vk 75.01K i make like 1.9 to 2k dmg per game
I stopped at tier 7 and did not went along the tech tree line, tanks are soooo slow, armor is unreliable, gun handling is worse than IS... the only good one for me was the Bassoto.
The Vipera feels bad to play because it does not reward you for your knowledge of the game. People complain about borrasque less because it actually rewards skilled players, even if it is overall overpowered. This tank takes your skill and throws it in the dumpster.
it's harder to play than the BZ and arguably more difficult than the iron arnie, or even then skoda t56.
@@ogmechsftw that's not the point. The point is that the tank doesn't reward you for skilled plays. It rewards you for getting hull down and that's pretty much it

Skill 123mm guns can overmatch viperas roof.
This thing is one of the most uncomfy, unflexible, & hard to play well tier 8 premiums I owned and I got it from my guaranteed drop. Honestly one of the least enjoyable/fun premiums I have ever played its incredibly clunky and boring while being low skill floor with a low skill ceiling.
