#FaithFamily…. Faith, if this was the “lit” performance, then I take it that Will Smith’s performance was the “spark that burnt the Oscars to the ground?” 🤔🤔🤔. We have all learned over the years that when it comes to bringing it with a performance… Beyoncé is the one you can ALWAYS rely on ☝️😁
No matter how I feel about her, she deserves her props for perfectly capturing the Williams’ family’s story in the song. (And I won’t go on and on, but I love how the movie gave Ms Venus Ebony Starr Williams her flowers. Cause yeah, both she, Serena, and their family went through a lot. But not only did she have to deal with the naysayers and rude reporters and doubters, Venus had the added obstacle of carrying all the unspoken pressure of succeeding for the family. Her breaking down after that one match says it all right there.

The performance was shot outside...in the sun and on top of that, there's a lotta lighting (literally behind her you can see huge stadium lights that are on), plus Beyoncé is lightskin. It's common sense at this point. She attended the award show that evening in darker lighting and looked darker than this. Y'all are just not used to seeing her out in the sun.
