Your relationship should not be based on how many arguments you have and how much bad shit you have that you can "get through", you shouldn't be having those arguments and bad shit in the first place. AMEN! If you're basing your relationship on only negative things from your past than you have a serious mental problem. I myself had a very rough time for many years, and yes it was hard for me to change my attitude and mentality, but at the end I stopped living on the negative and went for the positive. And have a guess: I'm still with my girl and this for almost 20 years. Yeah sure, we still have our problems as a couple, specially me, but I learned how to deal with those problems without causing a fight.
