  • Arrma Vorteks 3s blx steel spur conversion. I'm switching to steel spur before running the Vorteks. Start to finish power module and slipper clutch disassembly & inspection. Then the steel spur swap!

      @@soulrebelrc6341 Help or question. I too want to take the 3S slippedrto a 4S like you did. 4:15min in the video what plastic piece were you fighting with? I am confused if the 4S should have a brass lock nut or using whatever plastic one that comes out the stock 3S (not brass)...was that what you were pushing in. Sorry never soon one or done one yet? Did you need or use thread locker? Thx

      @@ParcoUpchurch The brass bushing is on both the 3s and 4s slipper clutch. You can use a small amount of thread lock if you choose.

    Great info. I have 4 metal spurs on order with slipper pads. The Big Rock ate its composite spur and the Senton just chewed its up last run. My Vorteks came with a warped spur. The Granite is fine but might as well do it while I'm at it. I wish Arrma would just charge 10-20 bucks more for the 3s line and put the metal ones in there.

    Time to upgrade the spur gears on my vorteks and typhon 3s. I’ve been going through 2-3 a year and it’s time to take care of that issue once and for all!

    I notice my senton wheelies more when I tighten the slipper all the way. I'm guessing because the front wheels rotating faster is why. But also I find there is less heat generated too. Besides as long as you aren't doing, massive jumps or hard off roading, you don't really need much slippage anyways.

    • @soulrebelrc6341
      @soulrebelrc6341  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed..the trucks handle better with the slipper tightened all the way.

    they should make a upgraded version of the BLX series, for like 100-150$ more you get full metal gear all the way around, spur, differential etc, and a chassis brace
    its a great platform tbh

      Make sure your slipper is tightened down. Factory setting is one and a half turns out from snug which is way to loose, but I leave mine all the way snug. You may chew up your input gear when running the slipper all the way tight but it makes the truck a beast.
