- And with this we conclude the first act of the musical. After that sad ending from part 2, it's time to improve the mood with some more comedic scenes ;-)
This part is kinda short compared to the other ones, but I didn't want Part 2 to be over 40 minutes long, so I decided to make divide it into two seperate parts. But I had to make the cut very late since there weren't any good places for a cut before Chagal's death. I hope you don't mind ^^
A good friend of mine, StupidFlyingXXFOX, saw this musical live recently and also fell in love with it, so she decided to ponify it.

The sponge is the most charming of animals. As a matter of fact, I think the sponge is the real hero of the musical.
Yeah, I could really feel the powerful emotions the sponge was conveying. Just wish the sponge had more lines.
Sponge? Sponge is the main character!
*Richard Attenborough voice:* "And here we have the common sponge, taking away the lives of yet another young couple who simply didn't know better. He will claim another victim shortly for sure."
I can't tell if this musical is supposed to be hilarious or sad, but it's succeeding at both.
I would've seen this the second you posted it if I wasn't busy with school.
It's more meant to be a comedy, but with quite a few serious parts inbetween.
The Russian version is very close to the German one, but it is staged more like a dark satire than a drama. I would say it _is_ hilariuos, yes.
I watched an analysis of it--apparently it was originally based on a spoof vampire movie called "The Vampire Killers" (I think). And also the original 1997 musical was different than this one, so it may not have been so comedic originally.
I must say, the Count has to be my favorite character
He's just the right mix between funny and badass ^^

I am very very happy I found this gem of a musical, I wish the show could visit America, or vice versa (I visit a place where they're showing)
It came to Broadway once but they absolutely ruined it by changing many things. In the end it flopped and they will probably never bring european musicals to America again...

My favorite musical so far, but right now... I found a sort of mis. Why they did not Stalked Martha, after revealing her beaten?
I mean then I watched this Origonal German one. Sorry about the errors. I am English and still somewhat learning some english words. lol
I will give an explanation later. I watched the American English Broadway one first then I watch this origional German one.
That broadway version with Crawford was such a disgreace, they changed so much of the original story, and then when it flopped they blamed the musical and never tried to bring another European musical to the Broadway. It's such a disaster.
I like the Origional German one better. The American English Broadway one was okay but I like this one better.
