So basically, if you're applying for a leave, you'll need signatures of your HOD and local guardian (you can choose your HOD as your LG), if you need leave for more than 3 days then you have to take DSW's permission, that's it. Either way they don't inform parents ;)

I would suggest you to look for other options as well incase you are not interested in courses like "Media in North-East", some non-assamese folks in my class used to complain about the course. Remember, you're applying for a uni from North-East so some of the things you'll study here would consist elements from its culture and history. I hope it helps :)

Hello...hotel accommodation is usually decided by DSW of our uni, so even if you don't get a room accommodation in hostel they will definitely assign you a dormitory.
