I don't give a damn how well you play; the ost combined with the sound effects and no slowdown is godly to watch. I played this on the arcade when i was 8 years old. Memories; and thank you for posting it

After the 3000th failed spin kick you'd think the player would change up attack.

Enemies always duck a raw spin kick, unless you catch them walking at you last second or they are already stunned
@@MYAceb latency plays a big factor since you are used to the lag from the original setup.
man, if i close my eyes i almost get back to that beachbar in the 1990, where i first saw DD2. The sand everywhere, the heat, the ... aroma of we kids waiting to watch someone actually play the game.

If you noticed the layout is basically the same as the first.
The ending of this game is so incredibly half-assed.
In this game, the final boss from the previous Double Dragon is out for revenge. & he started off by killing Marine as you're starting the game. Now Billy & Jimmy set's out on the mission to avange they girlfriend.

those who ported double dragon to home consoles forgot that that game was successful mostly because of its various and entertaining background music , bosses music and the various enemies who wanted to kick your ass.
all these ingredients are missing from Snes version , PC Engine cd version and all of its sequels on PS2 and more

These arcade double Dragon are better than the nes, and genesis. they're more realistic.

Jason Lee Didn't the original arcade machine use 8-bit processors though? And the Mega Drive version was UNBELIEVABLY badly programmed. It even had slowdown in the OPTIONS MENU.

But all stages, boss, enemies, main characters are very different.

I'm a fan of the arcade always some say the home version is better I think not I will admit the Nes version added a better story mode and added some extra levels that aren't in the arcade however the arcade version is still superior..☻☻☻

Anyone else notice this is 100% Double Dragon levels just with different textures/images? I mean level 2 is almost the same bar color and a few more boxes and a new boss!

Most expensive nes game I've bought. Shit was 75 way back then. BUT..... You got the hurricane kick but no "POONT!" in the damn arcade version. The "poont" of Doom is the move to end all moves

Abu Fadhil that is because Double Dragon II or 2 was initially developed as an upgrade kit for the original Double Dragon, but evolved into a stand-alone game due to an increase in memory size, resulting in the developers reusing assets for both games.

MAME has an overclock slider, but cheats need to be enabled for this to work. You can either start a game with the command -cheat, or you can change cheat from 0 to 1 in the configuration file mame.ini.

The Double Dragon arcade games are for sale on Steam and GOG as the Double Dragon Trilogy. They can also be played with MAME.

How do you overclock it like that?
When playing online, there are some keys you press to overclock the game. Also, newer versions of MAME have an overclock feature in the tab menu.
I never knew it was possible to disable slowdown.

There is a version of MAME for PSP, but I have no idea how to use it. This game might not run at full speed on PSP anyways. I would recommend the regular PC version of MAME instead.

テクノスジャパン自体は良い会社だったんだろうけど、くにおくんとダブルドラゴン以上のゲームが出せなかったね。

It's in the slider controls, but the overclock setting won't show up there if cheats aren't turned on in MAME.ini, which is the configuration file. Here is an image of the slider controls with overclock turned on.

You did say MAME 0.119 rather than MAME++ 0.119. I am going to assume that you are using MAME++ 0.119, but if you aren't, this won't work at all. Also note that this particular way of overclocking doesn't work on most versions of MAME besides MAME++ 0.119.
From the folder with mameppkgui.exe, open the cfg folder and go to "ddragon.cfg" or "ddragon2.cfg" and open them with notepad. Then replace everything in that file with the text below. Then save the file in notepad and start the game and see if it worked. You might need to set your controls again for this game after doing this.

In that case, you can try the .cfg file I made and replace it with the one you have in the cfg folder (this file is only for Double Dragon 2). www.mediafire.com/?ajh5n1qvocr28m4 I confirmed that without this file in the cfg folder, the game runs slow, so I can't think of any reasons why it wouldn't work.
If this doesn't work, I would suggest trying MAMEUIFX32, where you would need to turn enable cheats, then press tab to open the menu while running the game, go to slider controls and overclock from there.

You both suck at this game but it makes to a funny playthrough, different of all that generic speedruns. I feel waching two dudes playing it on a real arcade back in the 80s. Thumbs up.

If you're playing on Kaillera, you would press shift+F11 and then the 8 key to overclock. If you are just playing this offline, you would need to change cheat 0 to cheat 1 in mame.ini. Then when you are running the game, you would need to open the menu by pressing the tab key and go to slider controls. Then you would change overclock maincpu to the maximum percent. Holding the ctrl key while changing the percent is faster.

I was referring to MAME++ 0.119 which uses Kaillera for netplay. The version of MAME you are using is very old and I'm pretty sure it doesn't have overclock support. I would recommend getting a new version of MAMEUIFX to overclock.
