I think it's really good. It's just right for PvE. I've never played PvP in ARK but it could be good for raiding. Just put everything in there and quickly secure everything in the second base.💪🏻💪🏻
Same for the reverse put everything important in it

This is balanced for pve tbh. Its hard to get and its cool. Idk abt pvp and honestly dont rlly care (most people playing pvp just complain anyway).
Still love using a rhynio when farming fill up a vault with the mats your farming then use rhynio to pick up the vault and fly it back to base as it’s not impacted by weight inthe vault, however this methods not bad for abb, with the link storage if you power down the link storage and don’t go into its inventory for the 5 minutes then you can pick it up that’s how we do it on ps5
Its not a bad ideam I just feel once you get small teleporter it becomes less relevant

On the island we put a storage up by the volcano and one back at base both with Sir 5rM8's, but they would only work when one of us was near enough to render. *(Dedicated server cluster). The linked storage is still very useful for farming (wish we could have more than 4) and stuff. it works like a low key tek transmitter (without the beam of light nor the dragon boss fight)
The helper .. I could wish for better pathing. Sometimes it is great at re-organizing and putting items away .. and then there are times it just runs in a circle OR just wont listen and keeps emptying the cooker while im making kibble....... Harvesting is the same way, Bookworm or Brainworms and little middle ground. I dont know how much of that is on our servers or our pc's. When it works, best thing ever (almost) and when it doesnt we spend near as much time figuring it out than if we had just done the task ourselves. ** I still like it and it is just like Ark. Sometimes great.. Sometimes not so great. =)
ps you can set the helper to keep turrets full too, as long as it can path to them and the ammo/crystal.
Yea they probably go in stasis when out of render range… Probably will be fine in a populated server my guess… Hearing a lot about how the AI Pathfinding is useless on Aberration…Anyways will be making a video on Sir-5rm8 and this helps a lot to get some info on what to test….

Honestly I’m really not sure had the visual glitch from the start of Aberration. It’s not low graphics as for the game setting I run epic and mix of high it’s just there 😅
I haven't tried it yet but I'm hoping I can load metal into it on a farming run and use Sir 5rM8 back at my base to pull the metal out and load it into my forge?
I’m pretty sure it does but the video is being worked on for Sir5r-M8 will try to finish all the content by the end of this week so we’ll know by then

if its glitched where you cant pick it up you can pick up the foundation it is placed on as long as the linked storage box isnt damaged it will be placed in your inventory the same thing happens with beds but with the beds you have to make sure that there is no cooldown timer on them
I tried that but it destroys it probably due to the power down timer or the powered state…
@@elsurvives powered state. if it fully powers down i can pick mine back up without breaking, but if powered or powering down .. break is the only option in my radial menu.

Also sir 5rm8 will not withdrawal from the linked storage if you fast travel to another location
Interesting…Maybe due to it not being rendered…However will be making the before you craft video on Sir-5rm8 soon… I’m sure he’ll be a pain to test completely as per all the comments on its AI Pathfinding🤖

For some reason I cannot place any item inside the Linked Storage Box. I am on PC, I have Bob DLC. I've built, placed and powered up the storage boxes myself and I just cannot put any item in it. Everything works as you shown, except I cannot deposit anything to the Linked Storage boxes. Tried in different parts of the Aberration Map, restarted the game multiple times and tried 3 times after server restarts ... everything works exactly as you mentioned, except in my case I cannot deposit anything inside the shared storage.
U ever find a solution ?
@@t4drakk525 actually did, believe or not pressing F to open the inventory instead of E worked for me. Like when you transfer stuff to dinos.
Does it work with tames in cryo pods?
Yes already tested in the video with a cryopod anky

Can 1 person be at base and take the farm from the linked storage while the 2nd guy farms and deposits into the other?

Seems a little lame you could be attacking someone and theyre just porting out 50 slots of their best stuff every 30 seconds 😅
Not only that, but you can set sir-5rm8 to empy out the metal into a forge as it's being collected.
The sad truth is that they may end up Nerfing it hard somehow because of PVP. I can see this being something people complain about for PVP reasons such as, If someone is being raided by a bigger group, that group can have 2 or 3 people back at base ready to load the storage with whatever they need at a moments notice instead of having to teleport back and forth to get things they can now just have it appear instantly for them to use for the raid, and yes it can be used the same way for defending a base, but you know people will complain about the raiding aspect of it and it might get nerfed hard. For PVE however this is such an amazing addition, something that i would love to have and have it not change as far as function goes. Its something thats been needed in PVE if im being honest. The uses for this are insane for pve, but are more intense for pvp. We shall see though. I dont see this as being OP for pvp though, not at all.
If you disconnect the power and wait 5 minutes it will let you pick it up. The thing is awesome, put one on my zepp with a gen, a storage box, 2 beds and a cryofridge and a lil house around it. I have it parked in the blue on the ledge with 14 gas veins. When I want to farm metal I put all my gear and inventory in at base then use the bed to fast travel and do my farming. When it’s full i’ll throw all my stuff in the storage box on the zepp and fast travel back to throw it in the forge then rinse and repeat. I just fly around from ledge to ledge and farm away in safety. All the pvpers crying makes me laugh.
Is it per person or per tribe
I’m not entirely sure on this but I believe it’s per tribe… Will test it out post Clock Face Video as my test area is a mess due to it having so many variations😅.

ARK having its own Ender Chest is such a great idea imo, especially with how it can work together with Sir.5rM8 to automate the withdrawal into storage.
I really want other features from Minecraft to port over as well, such as Hoppers, Daylight Sensors, and Pistons!
The "Hoppers" in ARK can be a little device to put near a storage and a forge or similar crafting/refining device that'll do just the item transfer feature of Sir.5rM8's Butler Mode but without the buggy AI pathfinding which is 100% A and 0% I.
Did you find a solution to the picking up bug for servers? My friends and I are playing on an own server and can't pick it up
Restarting the game fixes it for me as of now (not a complete restart ) just exit to menu and start again and should allow you to pickup after that

Well considering most raids are offlines it's not gonna make much of a difference. Honestly it helps me as a solo on smalls pvp a lot.

@@dylandeane5237 To answer this... Say you put down 4 Linked Storage you can pick up 3 with no issues the last box will drop the items once picked in the usual bag on the same spot.
Don’t you have to wait for it to power down before you can pick it up? That’s what I assumed but maybe it’s just a glitch?
No you can pick it up even when powered up it’s just a weird glitch as of now once I exit to menu and rejoin it allows me to pick it up

One thing to be aware of in PVP - enemy tribes can access the storage, and you cannot pin-code it. We had a situation on our server where an enemy tribe found our linked storage, destroyed the turrets, then placed a full fob on our box, then had someone auto-clicking 'transfer all' on our box for 24h.
So what was he spamming into ur main? Shit?
@@chrisspedling75 it was more that he was taking everything out. We couldn't use the linked storage to go farm or send kits out of the base.

@@chrisspedling75 you can't demo directly but you can destroy the foundation it's sat on. However in our situation, they'd destroyed our beds and placed turrets outside of the base location, so we couldn't get there to destroy it.

They are just reworking mods into the game
You cannot transfer to such long distances with AA, and you also do not have the weight bypass like you do on the linked storage.

Zeppelin is broken on weight anyways. You can farm metal on it with anky as long as you have two people. The zeppelin will just not register the weight of the anky being absolutely loaded down. We can usually get our anky to about 3000 weight of metal before the zep decides it weighs 1800 weight. That’s about 9-10 rows. Linked storage will just add another 50 slots on top of that. It’s pretty insane compared to the old karkinos method given that you can fly now lol

I don’t like any of that steampunk at all. Style looks horrible and rusty and way too metallic and doesn’t go with Ark. it supposed to be more primal than bloody technological game… they have seriously messed this game up..😒
The good old days were honestly the best for me but after the Tek Suit update…Cant really say felt the same….And this time around it’s the Payromane To Win…📉
Yeah the game with artificial environment space stations and element powered obelisks and such is so primal. The game was always about starting from nothing and evolving into futuristic tech.
Best item in the game!! Helps me very well getting element in and out of my mesh base
