Long Gray Lessons with Tommy Nguyen

Cuong (Tommy) Nguyen was born and raised in Southern California. Tommy graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2007 with a BS in Economics. From 2007-2016, he served in the US Army Infantry and Special Forces “Green Berets”. Tommy has deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and multiple training and advisory missions throughout Asia. He also led two security missions to safeguard President Barack Obama during his official visits to Myanmar and India.
After the military, Tommy pursued his MBA at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. With a passion for education and entrepreneurship, he co-founded Point Avenue, an education technology company that focuses on K-12 students, and currently serves as its Co-Chief Operating Officer. Combining his experiences in the finance industry and multi-cultural settings, Tommy is continuing to lead efforts to localize mature and effective educational products and services to new regions across Southeast Asia.
