    I would be great to have soft body dynamic built in MASH

    Thank you for your work! It is really inspiring.
    Hope you upload similar video about animation in Maya.

      Haha, maybe they'd use the comments in my TH-cam channel. Also, my email address at Autodesk or at Gmail is easy to find :)

    How would I do this if I wanted the mesh to form letters? Like a word collapsing instead of a cube

    • @RolandReyer
      @RolandReyer  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The cube was created by the Distribute node in the mode "Grid". There is also a mode "Mesh" that lets you place the MASH instances on a connected mesh, on the surface, on vertexes, edges, and also inside the mesh (Voxel mode).
      Search for the channel of "Ian Waters", he explains how it works.

    where is it demo pool

    • @RolandReyer
      @RolandReyer  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      YASİN ÖZÇETİN demoPool is a small utility that I wrote to quickly load demo scenes. It is simply a bunch of icons that load a sene with no query. The setup is not very user friendly. You could achieve the same in the Content Browser.

    Dear Roland,
    Thought to ask you a question what would be better.
    I need to make falling apples from the sky that must react when reaching the ground.
    I know that I can do this with nParticles, the old technique I guess.
    Or shall I try to make it with MASH?
    I want to be able to control, the speed of falling, how they collide with the ground (not jumping too much like a ping-pong ball) and random rotation as they are falling.
    What do you think it's better?
    I am eager to learn this new feautre but if it doesn't give me what I need, I will rather learn it when I have more free time.

      Hi, you can definitely use MASH for this. MASH gives you a lot of control and possibilities to influence the animation.

      Roland Reyer Thank you, this is what I did but I have some issues with the physics. Check this video: th-cam.com/video/iYzEzRjd_1c/w-d-xo.html
      I would be very happy if you have a solution about this strange looping after they hit the ground.

      Hi, not sure if I understand your question.
      Do you mean the screen-space ambient occlusion?

    How did you get the "Demo Pool" panel? Is it something you have to download? I can't find it anywhere and google searching for where it is doesn't yield anything either...

    • @RolandReyer
      @RolandReyer  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sploige , DemoPool is a Script that I wrote. It is just like a floating shelf, I can setup icons that execute commands. The regular Shelf can do the same for you and is easier to edit.

    they do not collide??

    • @RolandReyer
      @RolandReyer  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Ismail, do you mean the collisions between the cubes and the pyramids?
      If they’re properly connected they will collide.

    • @ismailgulsen4755
      @ismailgulsen4755 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Roland at 3:12 the front left Ylinder and the little tiny cubes dont collide, the went through.

    • @RolandReyer
      @RolandReyer  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, that’s definitely because I missed to add the cylinder to the collision objects in the Bullet solver node (2:56)
