A "monster" snow storm was forecast to hit Dayton, Ohio so I set up the time lapse cameras on my yard gnome eating dinosaur decoration. Two distinct types of snow fell: the first was a very sugary / sandy type mixed in with some sleet, then a break and transition over to very flight and fluffy (floofy) snow. Snow total was in the 5-6" range but would have been much higher had the earlier snow been of the second type. Road crews worked throughout the night to keep our roads clear, a big thanks to Montgomery County workers.
