Past perfect tense ஒரு past tenseன்னுடன் தான் use பண்ணவேண்டுமா? அல்லது சொல் வழக்கில் past perfect tense மட்டும் உபயோகப்படுத்தலாமா?
Eg: என்னை யாராவது எங்கே போயிருந்தாய் என்று கேட்டால்.
My ans: I had gone up to stationary shop.
Is this answer is right?

Very clearly explained... Congrats Mam..
He established a company before 2008 and he had established a company before 2008 could please explain the difference between these sentences ma'am....
The first sentence states a simple fact in the past. So, the simple past tense is used.
The second sentence which uses the past perfect tense is spoken only when another past action, an action that happened later than the first, is in the mind of the speaker.
1)He established a company before 2008.
2) He had established a company before 2008 before his friends even thought about it five years later.
@@EnglishwithVennila ma'am appo past prefect tense yeppovum past tense Kuda join panni than varuma ?
@@abc-ug3by Most of the time, yes! Even otherwise, even if it's not stated explicitly in the sentence, it is in the mind of the speaker.
We stayed at a hotel last night. We had stayed at the same place two years ago.
@@EnglishwithVennila thanks ma'am....keep rocking!!!
@@abc-ug3by Thank you!☺
I had seen the movie.
I had worked in this school
I had already done it.
I had won the shuttle match in 2019.
mam in the example when i reached the station, the train had left, how does it give the meaning of the train departure before i reached, it explains 2 action occurs at the same time. should we use before in the place of when to get the correct meaning?...it is confusing...please clear my doubt mam
one more doubt mam, while we are talking to someone in that situation(missed the train), what shall we say to express the situation...shall we say train left the station or train has left the station or train had left the station.
@@Champion_2024 We say, " The train has left".
Mam.... U have discussed an example,
I had seen her last week.
Here the time last week is mentioned then why are you using perfect instead of simple past....
Hi mam i have one big doubt mam. Enaku grammar lam theriyuthu ana correct ah sentence ah farm panna theriya mataikuthu. Oru story elutharathukum theriya mataikuthu. Plz help me mam. Sentence farm panrathuku solli thanga mam...

Yes, that's also right!
I had reached the station at time but I missed the train
Ith sentence crt aa mam
he had tensed until he attended the interview. is this sntns correct mam?
No, in this sentence, 'tensed' is an adjective as it describes the state of the mind. So the sentence should be
" He had been tensed until he attended the interview".
Thank you Mam
Mam appo time period la yesterday ku munadi vara yellathukum had use pannikalama

Very clear explanation mam. Thank You
Ravi had finished homework the teacher checked the note book.
The students had arrived the teacher entered the class room
Madam the exam begun when I entered the exam hall. Inga had varalai. Enna tense madam.
That's incorrect.
'began' is past tense and 'begun' is past participle.
Whether Came to my home is right or wrong mam?
Right.
You will get wound it is correct
Vanakkam ! Madam, In the second sentence of this lesson that you had mentioned the time (last week)
"I had seen her last week" Is it Right? because as per grammar rule time should not mention in the present perfect tense and past perfect tense. I could be wrong. Please Mam, Kindly clarify my doubt after your noble duty is over. Thank you!
The past time can be mentioned with the past perfect tense.
We had visited the place six months ago.
I had written to her last month.
But these sentences are understood better when they are viewed in a context that talks about another past action that happened later than the action mentioned in the sentence.
It is only the present perfect tense where the past time is not mentioned.
I hope it's clear!👍☺
English with Vennila I have clearly understood that how to used the timing in that sentence by your suitable examples. Thanks a lot Madam.
Thanks for the vedios
I had never seen this type of teaching methodology in my life
If any mistakes Pls collect it
Good SEMA ma

Can we write
1, I was worked under him
2, I was fined by cops
Like this.
Please clarify my doubt.
'I worked under him' is right, not 'was worked'. வேலை பார்த்தேன்
"I was fined by the cops' is right.
எனக்கு அபராதம் விதிக்கப்பட்டது.
Passive voice!
@@EnglishwithVennila Thanks madam, for your immediate reply.
My friend had come to my home before I had my lunch.
Of course, it's correct! Why not?👍😀
@@EnglishwithVennila when my friend came to my home i had already had my lunch.
Is it correct mam ?
Ma'am what's the difference between 'had' and 'had been'?
Had = past tense ( 'have' is the base form)
Had been = past perfect ( 'be' is the base form)
When the lion had come, the deer 🦌 had escaped.
It's better to say " When the lion came, the deer had escaped."
When i reached the station the train has left.. Ipdi solalama akka...

We cannot use the present perfect tense to talk about an action that happened before a past action.
I'll take up this question for discussion in the next video in the series --- YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED!
@@EnglishwithVennila illa akka..nan reach aagum pothu train poi irunthathu ithuthana meaning...aana nan reach aagum pothu train poi vitathu ipdium solalama epdi ..ithan akka doubt..
@sugantharon francis I understand your question.
In spoken Tamil, we use the present perfect tense when we say " naan stationukku ponappa train poiruchchu / poivittadhu" but in English, it is the past perfect tense!
Actually it means, " train போயிருந்தது".
