Living in Montreal, the only channel where I can currently catch their shows is a French language channel, and although their voice-over actors both have a nice voice, they also sound VERY different from each other. Jonathan's voice actor speaks a little lower than their actual voice, and has a very He-man quality to him, a little macho even.. and then poor Drew sounds like a 19 year-old preppy college student. ;P Of course we can always hear the original tape underneath it a little, but still it's easy for me to forget what they really sound like.. Drew especially I always go "Hou! Ha! Oh yeah, right, he actually sounds like a grown man, in real life.." ;)
They do seem like great, genuine guys. If only Jonathan wasn't such an incorrigible show-off (random spontaneous pumps, anyone? Clients all tried to take down a cabinet door and can't do it? Here, lemme step in and one-handedly get it out of the way for you, show you how it's done. Won another Brother vs Brother challenge? Let me smear it all over your face, dear brother.. and why not add a little happy chicken dance to it, too? Oh! And did you guys know I am a 2nd dan karate black belt? No, really! Here, let me just karate chop this shelf unit tablet. Tada! See?.. ;P Seriously, I think there must be one such head-shake-worthy moment in every single episode.. I think he's a treasure, but Jesus.. ;)).
As for Drew, aside from the fact that we probably wouldn't do each other's blood pressure much good (I don't know anyone more undisciplined, scattered and disorganized than me, and he seems like.. well, you know.. ;)), I have to say that his apparent total lack of appreciation for cats is of great concern to me. I (perhaps naively) thought that everyone with a heart melted at the sight of these magical creatures.. So now I'm confused.. ;)
