    Tip: you can buy a smart outlet and set it to shut off at the number of hours it takes to charge your scooter to avoid over charging. Or set alarms.

    That regen breaking is all i use, its soo good! Reminds me of when i had a standard card and would downshift to get engine stopping power. I only tap my hydraulic breaks when i really need to, like unexpected situation, but besides that 99% of the time i use regen break

    The amount of scooters I would ever recommend to anyone is severely limited because idiotic scooter manufacturers don't waterproof them. These are commuting machines, you never have to worry about if your car is waterproof or not it should be the same with scooters. I live in ireland where it rains, every single day except for 9 days a year on average. Start waterproofing these because they are currently gaining a lot of popularity but wont as soon as they start breaking down due to rain. My current scooter, kugoo g1 is completely waterproof

      Hey Luke,
      Thank you for this feedback and criticism, we do appreciate the insight. We agree that water resistance ratings are an important part of choosing a scooter model, and we've been working hard to improve this on our newer models like the City 2022 and upcoming Apollo Pro!

    One thing I would like cleared up is the process the charging system goes through in total. From flat to full voltage to the balancing process.
    There's so much disagreement in the community between the need to balance charge the pack, and degrading the lifespan by fully charging too much.

      @Daniel_Clem 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, but there's limitations (can't go above 20km, need to go in the street/bike lane, need lights at the front and back: back light must be automatic light when braking, need to wear a helmet, cannot go outside of Montréal and Westmount).

    It's not unthinkable to be at work, it begins to rain, and you have to ride home. You make people feel stupid for asking about water resistance. Not cool.

  • @MrWilliam.Stewart
    @MrWilliam.Stewart 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Stop crying about riding in the rain and just build a waterproof scooter.
    Fact is, it rains if you're lucky, because no rain = no water, an no water = no life.
    I get it, there is a higher manufacturing cost to build waterproof scooters, but it's time to stop with the whole "don't ride in the rain" BS. Rain happens, make a suitable product happen.

    • @archlocker

      Lots of scooters are rated for rain?
      Apollos scooter in the video is iP56 or so.

    • @ApolloScooters
      @ApolloScooters  2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      For the longest time fully waterproof electric scooters have been one of the most sought after features in the scooter community. We have been listening!
      The Apollo City 2022 is rated IP56 meaning it can withstand high pressure water jets from any direction. And we hope in the near future to have a fully waterproof scooter available for our riders without an increase in cost.
      Best,
      Randy

    Unforgivable mistake is OVERPRICED Apollo scooters. They are not very special and don't really offer anything new. They are simple city Scooters. Some of us are not stupid and we own multiple $2k-$4k Scooters like Kaabo, Dualtrons etc etc
