  • The palace of Co Bi, a famous place in the East of the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, Lord Trinh Cuong As a person knowledgeable in feng shui, chose Co Bi as the site to build a new palace, with the intention of moving the palace from Thang Long. Co Bi became the center of power and the second capital. This land formerly belonged to Thuan An government, Bac Kinh town, in the Nguyen dynasty belonged to Co Bi commune, Dang Xa canton, Gia Lam district, Bac Ninh province. After 1945, Co Bi palace was in Quang Trung commune, Gia Lam district, Bac Ninh province. The construction of Co Bi Palace started in November 1727, with the intention of moving the royal palace here; Local people and dignitaries transported precious wood and stone from Thanh to be completed in a month the work was built quickly, after a month, a system of ramparts and palaces was formed. Archaeological excavations and comparison of ancient documents show that the palace has a large scale with surrounding earthen citadels extending from the Duong river dike to Loi slope, through the center of Trau Quy town to the Hoi Xa dike.     After completion, Co Bi palace was named Kim Thanh palace. Unfortunately, July 1729, Two years later, Cu Linh dike broke, water flooded Kim Thanh palace; Lord Trinh Cuong had to send his wife to repair the palace and make proper repairs for the lord of the patrol. In the year of the Rooster (1729), the lord's family caught a cold after a tour of Phat Tich and died at Co Bi palace on November 28, 1729 (the first year of the Vinh Khanh era). Due to this event, the decoration of the victory was unfinished.
