Thank you yet again. I've been asked if I could make some drain bags for our local cancer care hospitals and I needed to know size required. I'm tall and so noting that different strap lengths will be needed for different heights, allows me to make suitable ones for everyone. I can now share with others in my group who might wish to add them to their sewing gifts. x

That’s amazing , it can get expense adding all up while buying items needed for a breast surgery.Thank you great idea.

These are wonderful and I’m sure the patients that receive them will be very appreciative. I will try to sew some for my local hospital as well. What is a “triple stitch” that you sewed on the strap? Is there another name for it? Thank you.

I would like to make these for my daughter. Would it be possible to buy one so I can get a better idea (together with your great video)on how to make them? If I can do them well, I will be happy to make more and donate to the hospital my daughter is attending.

susan truscott thank you x I’ve cut the straps at 115cm so by the time they’re sewn in. They’re just about 110cm. I’ve seen some people make them at 90cm but I’m quite tall and it’s something to consider. Xxx

Great idea, thanks was wondering what size to make them. Abi in the video did you make 2 separate bags or was it one lined one. Can you also tell me what those straps are called. I was going to make my own but if there cheap i'll buy and use those, i'd appreciate the reply please

It’s one unlined bag, I French seamed the edges so the raw edges are tucked away. Look for webbing straps. The bags aren’t kept for a long time so I kept it as cheap and quick as possible. The strapping, if you’re in the uk, costs about £5 for 25m (25mm wide.)

Hi... Friend wanted me to make couple for her. I cut exactly same size and did seams the exact same. Mine is much wider then what the picture shows.
