galahs feeding

an attractive member of the cockatoo family, their call is not so pleasant.
In the outback they eat the wheat as it falls off the grain trucks headed to the silos. It swells in their bellies so they bloat and have to waddle off the road, unable to fly ... or if you toot your horn to shoo them off the road - when they can fly - they circle around and pancake themselves on the windscreen.

When someone does something daft, Australians affectionately say, “Silly Galah!” The Galahs, a type of cockatoo found across most of Australia..... Lv those Galahs🤓

I thought they were pretty - though I've heard they can be destructive too. I would never want to have on e as a pet - I think most parrots should be left in their natural environments....

they can be super destructive eating through ppls timber ... these are the wild variety Val. Never met a soul who keeps a galah for a pet in my lifetime!
