  • Modern filming equipment and digital technology have completely revolutionized the way films are made and viewed. Back in classical movies, the directors have to focus more on the story than cinematography, and the acting skills of both actresses and actors were excellent.
    Old movies mostly have a strong and neat storyline, and they were less dependent on superheroes and visual effects. The budget and profit of modern movies have increased so far, which almost turned an artwork into business.
    Enjoy these awesome behind the scenes photos from classic movies!

    We saw one of the Superman's being filmed, can't remember which one. Were in southern Alberta and there were police cars with Texas stars on them. A little out of their jurisdiction. We got talking to someone who was a part of the film crew and he told us what was going on. It was fascinating to watch the process for a while.

    Fred McMurray always had that "What The Hell's Going On" look on his face.

    • @Voodoomaria
      @Voodoomaria 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I always likes McMurray in his comedies, but I couldn't stand him in his Hard boiled tough guy roles, because he always came across to me as the kind of "Tough Guy" who would fold up like a house of cards if anyone slapped him.

    • @ZooxMaze
      @ZooxMaze 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both comments exactly fit the same impression I have of him, as an actor, also ! Funny, I've never thought of that since the last time I saw a movie/t.v.show with him in it. But, at that time also... it was exactly the same impression. As a comedy actor, his WTH expression was priceless and unique. But, also too true was the fact I could never believe him as the "tough guy"... for precisely the same reasons mentioned here.
      With the first comedy-like, stunned expression - I was compelled to watch more. But with the faux-tough guy facade, I felt more like turning away. It just "didn't fit".
      Same with "Beetlejuice" (Michael Keaton) playing Batman. That, imo, was a TOTAL miscasting. Why ?? Is up for speculation. Jack Nicholson, was chosen to play the Joker in that particular movie. He was even nominated for an Academy Award, I believe. But, that was sooooooooo totally, wrong on a gut level. Jack, didn't act. He just played "Jack". He was too old for the part, as well... and, not NEARLY crazy enough, as Michael had been in Beetlejuice.
      To me, Jack, should have never been there to begin with... Michael Keaton, would have made the ULTIMATE Joker-gone-wild !! Especially, after his hot-off-the-box-office, out-of-this-world portrayl of: "Beetlejuice... Beetlejuice... Beetlejuice..." !!! @%* Golly, I will never understand why that wasn't completely obvious to the director who made that choice. Michael, was not anywhere even close, to the tough-serious guy, phsycially or psychologically necessary for the Batman role... any more than Fred McMurray was cut-out to be a gangster ;)

    • @Voodoomaria
      @Voodoomaria 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ZooxMaze Did you ever see McMurray in "Double Indemnity". Every time her called Stanwyk "Baby"... It made me laugh at him, and Now I laugh harder because he sounded exactly like Beavis from "Beavis and Butthead" whenever HE was trying to be cool with the ladies.
      The "Cain Mutiny" was more his style, He played a real gutless weasel in that one and was very believable.
