Hennimore mistakenly sends a binary message with a Russian address to the prime minister, telling him to "Fuck off", the minister "gets a bit fighty", and launches nuclear missiles at Russia who retaliates. During the confusion, Numberwang's Collossi reprograms professor Doom's doom-bots to take over the world.
I would love this, but there is one detail that fucks it. The inebriati instate him as the president of the world, meaning Russia wouldn't exist. Lovely theory though!

Incredible... and I was expecting it! I'll explain. So, I was at Auschwitz in the mid-90s with a friend. As we passed the gate he said, "I wonder if there's a gift shop." I busted his balls, "What, you want a snow globe, a spoon perhaps, a t-shirt that says... (you can guess)?" He protested that he'd meant a book store, or information kiosk or something, . I wouldn't stop harassing him about it... We made a lot of wisecracks that day, accusing each other of insensitivity to our surroundings. It was the dead of winter, and the place was empty. It will ruin your month. I've got a whole 20 minute bit about it. I was a fan of Peep Show but I've only now discovered their sketch shows. They always seem to do skits, sketches, and bits I've written over the years. Usually theirs is better or more fully realized,... and unlike me they actually perform them. I was fully anticipating an Auschwitz Gift Shop bit, because these guys would be the ones to do it, their humor and sensibilities are so in tune with mine... and goddamn it, here it is! My heart sunk. But, mine is funnier! I swear! Now I'm gonna have to get to an open mike and perform it. This is my impetus! AND NAZIS SUCK! And by the way, Auschwitz indeed has books for sale... but no "sidelines", which are non-book items such as erasers and rulers and postcards and such.

It is true you work much better when you've had a few drinks. However; is it just me? Two drinks has absolutely zero effect on me, let alone gently swaying and 'inebriation'. I need twice that to feel even mildly more chatty and full of energy.

The Event sketches are some of my favourites, because they're so dark and disturbing - I'd be a little pissed if the post-apocalyptic hell inhabited by the members of the quiz broadcast was brought about by a drunken twat with a nuke tbh. Actually he is coughing due to having just been given ethanol. The regular prayer and a pint episodes are only similar to those in the Fast Show in that both sketch shows are parodying the same kind of TV shows that you get on local networks. Where programming consists of things that can be filmed for under £50 because the super rich parent network only gives local stations about £500 to last them all year. If you are ever on a Scottish island or trapped in a Welsh valley you'll find lots of shit like that on the local station and all of it looks as though it was filmed in a broom cupboard or a shed or in-situ at a restaurant.
