Experts are underrating the Dodgers due to their rotation, but the Dodgers have been playing fairly well and people aren't picking them because of the Padres rotation is too deep. However, the Dodgers have a slightly better bullpen that could make the difference. If the Dodgers get past the NLDS, they will probably win it this year.
Phillies are the team that hasn’t been playing the best ball recently, not the Dodgers. Dodgers 8-2 over the last 10 including ending the season winning 5 straight and losing only 1 series in September (notably beating Arizona, Cleveland, and SD). But Phillies are 4-6 over the last 10 and lost 3 of their last 4 series. Oh, and PHI beat LA in the NLCS in 08 and 09.
@@paulmayer8654 Dude asked if Phillies and Dodgers have ever met in the championship series over the last number of years. I was just telling him when they did. 2008 & 2009 doesn’t seem too long ago to mention, but 1983 does.
That would be absolutely hilarious. My grandparents have season tickets for the Phillies so I can probably get tickets for all the games at Citizens Bank Park, and I’m going to be at them all. I’ve already gotten into multiple fights at Philly sports games, might as well get into another one taunting Philly fans if they lose because Philly fans are the easiest fans in the world to piss off Philly fans are literally just Boston Bruins fans, but actually mentally unwell on top of being alcoholics instead of just being alcoholics
It will be a repeat of 2022 if you ask me. Can't believe anyone would pick the Guardians to beat the Astros when the Astros went 4-1 against them this season and the last series was a sweep since they didn't play a game 3. That was the last series of the season, so it is the most relevant and recent information to go off of.
That series meant absolutely nothing. And the first series was 2-1. In Houston. Well Cleveland has home field advantage in the ALDS and the best home record in the American League. The best bullpen in MLB. And the best defense plus 2 30 Homerun 100 RBI guys as well. Naylor and Ramirez have combined for more homeruns and RBI than any duo in MLB other than Judge and Stanton. If anyone thinks Houston is just gonna walk to the ALCS is crazy. This isn’t 2018 and nobody’s banging on trash cans or putting buzzers under their jerseys.
I think you need to pick 1 of the wild card teams in each to make the LCS. History is pretty strong in that regard. #1 vs #2 is pretty unlikely in 1 league let alone both.
Born Twins fan here... sad to see them collapse where they needed to maintain their spot the most... oh well, I'll just join the Ohtani hype train haha as long as the Yankees don't win it all I'm just excited to watch some baseball! I haven't watched it in a while and forgot how much I loved the sport. It's good to be back! I'll be follwing it much more next year for sure!
This season was one for the books ! Good one to come back to and a lot of fan friendly rule changes which have made watching it more enjoyable Hope to see you next season :)
It’s hard without seeing the games played to think that KC will beat Baltimore. KC’s pitching is good but the O’s pitching is also pretty good. Too many people out here ignoring how good Eflin has been. O’s have massive edge on offense with their injured guys coming back. Bats got hot this week. Honestly I think Baltimore could beat NYY in ALDS too assuming they carry momentum. But we’ll have to see
Dodgers and Yanks, so original. Since MLB has adopted this format the top seeded teams have not done well. Yankees and Dodgers are overated and I think you are underestimating Birds..If mets get past brew crew I think they can make a deep run..my pick is Pods vs Stros with Stros winning fall classic
KC had just as bad of a second half, if not worse. We got to Cole, Lugo and Wacha every matchup 😂😂 These guys on TH-cam give the worst analytics and breakdowns
I think he’s saying the O’s and Royals were both kinda sus in the second half. I think Baltimore’s offense got its mojo back this week with all the injured guys coming back. Mountcastle, Westburg, and Urias came back and it looks like the pieces clicked. It’s not really relevant but for what it’s worth the O’s torched Ragans for 9 hits and 7 runs in 1.2 innings back in April (very long season). When the O’s are on they demolish (s/o Matt Wheeler, Luis Gil, and Marcus Stroman) so it’ll be interesting to see what version of the O’s we get this week
@@thatguitarist25 thank you!! Not to mention if you look at say, their last four series, I’d argue KC was still struggling.
