Well as you already know because you've done this yourself, there is a significant risk in importing this kind of gear from overseas, and the return on that risk is getting to know reliable suppliers and how to reduce that risk. I've had to work really hard to develop that knowledge, and I'm not comfortable just giving it away. Happy shopping!
@@audionautica6843 I actually have found a really decent supplier for tonearms, I look at some of the items as I receive them and a 45 year old Tonearm looks and functions like it was made a few days ago!
No, we don't know who the other reviewer is. Actually there is only one other Accuphase C-202 review on TH-cam (13min 56sec) and it doesn't say that it colorizes the sound.
Yep - that's it. It's a great review. As I said, I'd already ordered mine from Japan when I saw this review. At 13:04 he said "it alters everything that goes through it". With 3 years of listening that has not been my experience, and as I said, a pre-amp should change nothing except for gain - unless one is particularly wanting to change the tone which is what tone controls are for.
I think what he meant to say there is that it gave him understanding what a great preamp should sound like (not the best choice of wording). But who knows...i left him a comment asking about it. Thank you.
Would you possibly share the name of the Japanese dealer you mentioned? I do buy items on yahoo Japan and once in great while from Hifdo. Thanks
