This was inspiring at so many levels, presented for such practical application, with such rich insight, and in a spirit of the many paths to That Only Ultimate Reality. It really could have been entitled with any number of spiritual life approaches; I take it to heart as how to live in That Presence continually. What could be possibly be more full, more perfect, more complete than being always connected, always in communication with our own essential nature? Thank you Swami! Love your Lecture! So helpful. Wanted to clarify some things-- We Catholics do the Gloria in every Sunday Mass, sometimes it is in the vernacular, other times in Latin. (It's up to the parish if they say the Gloria in a daily Mass.) We praise You. We bless You. We adore you. We glorify You. We give You thanks for Your great glory. O Lord God, heavenly King, O God Almighty Father. Lord Jesus Christ, Only-begotten Son. Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father: you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us. You take away the sins of the world, receive our prayer. You are seated at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us. For you alone are the Holy One. You alone are the Lord. You alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit in the glory of God the Father. Amen. One more clarification: We also teach that you go straight to God for repentance and forgiveness! Confession to the priest is just a concrete way to make it real and to be reconciled with the whole body of believers. However, he is not the one forgiving of his own authority, only God can do that. The priest in the booth is only a delegate or representative for Christ. The sacrament is rooted in Jesus sending the first Apostles to baptize and forgive sins in his name; and the apostolic direction to "confess your sins to one another." We seek a confessional attitude so that nothing is hidden from God or from other humans-thus we pray to walk as "children of the light." Amen for your work!! You are bringing great light and fresh air for all spiritual humanity. We are brothers in Christ (to put it that way). We love you!
SWAMIJI. In some traditions they have what is known a " mindfulness or mindful meditation" similar to locking the mind in the heart & praying in silence?
