Blockhead Agree! Morrow wasted too much time walking around in the map without snipe the swamhosts and not protecting his production facilities. What is the use of the facilities if you allow it to die?
Really glad about that first game. Haven't played SC2 a lot but I'm a bit sad about the Swarm Host nerf. Glad to see Zerg can still power through this sort of build.
Belz Zebuth swarm hosts are going to play a completely different role now. they're going to be much more of a hit and run sort of unit, where you launch at a base, run away, and just keep harassing. i actually think if they're used right they can be really tough
i really like what patraeus did with them, using the cool down to run to the other side of the map and keep attacking different areas. i haven't played with them either, but i think it will be interesting. if its worth the cost or supply is a different matter
Apollo though lol. He sounded either really tired or so very disappointed with how game one was going. When Petraeus started to get momentum Apollo shifted gears if only by 1 haha.
If nothing else this series seems to prove that the new LotV Swarm Hosts are a lot better vs Terran and not just garbage as many are claiming. I have not seen how effective they are vs Protoss but Brood Lords work again since the Tempest got nerfed hard (although I wonder what is even the point of Tempests now).
Poor MorroW... He probably trained for days upon days in order to get on top of his mech and take down Petraeus. He's probably crying in a corner now after losing 3-0... Oh well, who cares. GO GO PETRAEUS!! To Ro16 and beyond!
Frankii3 mech not viable? Were you not paying attention to the video, the number of tech switches he had to make and even then had he not resoundingly outplayed morrow he might still have lost
That second game actually looked pretty weak from Petraeus. Mech's weakness is mobilty and he had a nydus network he only used once. If he had even had two nydus' in the top right and bottom left, he could have defended his own bases and countered MorroW much more effieciently. One Overlord snuck in along the top of the map could have drawn MorroW's army back into his main leaving his mining bases wide open. That game could have been much shorter. Third game was beautiful though:)
JACK SPARROW They have a 60 second cooldown and no autocast anymore. The locust also fly and have to be landed before being able to attack. But yeha they still have dps, however it often isn't worth the resources
Wow so apart from having no auto spawn you now how to select them and spawn (which defeats the purpose. Alot of micro for units that die easy. Man that stinks. Why WHY!! :(. i love zerg man i love watching professional. Mean while terran get mega boost of damage. I watched a game where they had some mechs and alot of fire power but their manuverability was just too slow wich allowed the zerg to out flank them alot and end up taking the game
It's funny when Blizz nerfs Terran it's like, "well let's nerf slowly and see if a 10 second delay on stim works." And when P or Z gets nerfed it's like "let's completely and fundamentally change this unit and then work backwards to make it useful again."
Erik Reiter The cooldown on spawning locusts is about 60 seconds I think and locusts only last 30(?). That leaves 30 seconds where the swarmhosts can be easily targeted and killed if you don't have units supporting them. Also the change to make locusts fly before landing and attacking makes things like thors and viking able to kill them off before they land and do damage. Patraeus did a fantastic job of balancing his swarmhost numbers with the rest of his army.
***** Ahhh yes not having a picture makes me a troll, the true belief of the youtube commenter. If only I had a name that people wouldn't waste their time making jokes about like....oh I don't know....let me just pick out a name at random....Goylemor. :)
this morrow is so annoying, he scans and sees the locus but doesn't try to kill them. By the time he kills the locus they have done so much damage and its unrecoverable. Such a bad offensive player.
honestly mech is NOT viable. this is a good example because morrow is for sure the better more accomplished player.......this just goes to show dont go mech in pro level
Marrow... wow you were up against it... but that was the slowest terran play that I have seen in ages!!!! Come on. .. I am a die hard terran fan of terran and even love the occasional mech play, but dude... even I was pulling out my hair at how slow the play was, and the opportunities missed... I almost gave up watching half way...
i hate terran so much... find their units ridiculess versitile and easy to use. widow mines are a perfect example -.- but i am a zerg and think every race player hate the other races hehe
That first game was sick, I'm zerg and I don't know how to deal vs mech, but Petraeus made me believe
Luis Iglesias I think it was a matter of not pushing and trading as Morrow should have. Let Petraeus just pull him around, he needed to commit.
Blockhead Agree! Morrow wasted too much time walking around in the map without snipe the swamhosts and not protecting his production facilities.

Frank Wohnrade ?
Luis Iglesias yes indeed
Luis Iglesias Morrow isn't that great of a player and he played stupid.

paulyV34 Perhaps, and I haven't played them yet. It just seems that 60 second cooldown is a bit over the top.
i really like what patraeus did with them, using the cool down to run to the other side of the map and keep attacking different areas. i haven't played with them either, but i think it will be interesting. if its worth the cost or supply is a different matter
Damn that first game was SICK
i think if terrans use auto turrets in the same manner as force fields, then have massive units crush auto turrets as well
Berenger Christy That would be so sick
When zergs wins this imba game it has to be legend
Apollo though lol.

First match at 2:55. Enjoy :).
awesome tech switch for Petraeus!!!
I miss the old swarm hosts
Petraeus total boss!!! Unbelievable performance, very well done!
Poor MorroW... He probably trained for days upon days in order to get on top of his mech and take down Petraeus. He's probably crying in a corner now after losing 3-0...
Oh well, who cares. GO GO PETRAEUS!! To Ro16 and beyond!
***** then don't scroll down to the comments where people may actually comment about the content of the video you fuck
first is Ro32 which he will never make it pas cus hes not good lol...he only won cus mech is not viable
Frankii3 mech not viable? Were you not paying attention to the video, the number of tech switches he had to make and even then had he not resoundingly outplayed morrow he might still have lost
why would morrow ignore the swarm hosts the ENTIRE GAME 1?
seriously mules need to take up supplies
"Marrow" Ok, cool coolcoolcool
luis39205 Facepalm XD
***** I guess they actually changed it.

Why no swarm host? Sorry I don't play but enjoy watching these vids
They were nerfed extremely hard, so their useless now
they can still deal some serious damage thou?

so why did petraeus not use swarm hosts?

when was this change implemented? i haver never seen this until this set.
These casters are very sad about zerg no longer being able to build one unit; that can completely nullify an entire mech army.
Anyone else see that there is no animation of a man turning into a zerg in the intro? Only into a marine or zealot.
the first dude seems to turn into an hydralisk
Morrow had 10 chances to win the first game. All he had to do was push but he turned back from muta harass.
petraeus you awesome.
