O.M.G., I would give up my left arm to be able to go to Venice!! It's SO romantic and so darn beautiful! It's my dream to 1 day travel all over Europe, like lucky Rick does! I especially am dying to go to Italy and Ireland! But, seriously: nothing beats beautiful Venice!
Nice video. One time when I visited Europe with an ex-boyfriend, I was backpacking and carried one of your books as a reference. It was helpful. I've visited Europe many times. I've traveled to Italy a few times. It's a beautiful country. I didn't have the chance to visit Venice though. I think it would be romantic to go on a gondola. I love going on the water and riding anything that goes on the water. I have been on a bamboo raft in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I have went on a boat in the floating market in Thailand. I have been on canoes, kayaks, paddleboats, cruise ships, yachts, basically most things that can be used as a moving vessel on waters in the U.S., Asia, Europe, etc. I like anything having to do with water, and have often tried & explored almost anything once. I would love to go back to Italy to ride on a gondola in Venice. To visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa. To eat some pizza in Naples. To watch some opera in Italy. To visit Sicily. I have enjoyed watching many of your travel videos, Rick. You have been helpful to so many people. I wish you & your family a nice weekend & a good 2015! :-)

Your videos are amazing! I'm going to Italy as a honeymoon trip. First Venice, then Florence and Rome. In your opinion, is it enough to stay in Venice 2 ou 3 days or does it take more time to enjoy the city without been in a hurry?

how much is a gondola ride?
thewillingwell It's around €80 for 30 minutes, however you can have up to six passengers per gondola, & split the cost.

Gondola rides....I have been on a private one. Totally overrated in the romantic area.
Absolutely NOTHING romantic about some guy behind watching you.
If you must go on this "one mile an hour" ride...do it with family or friends. You'll have a much better time.
Personally I find renting a kayak for the two of us far more enjoyable and fun!
BTW...I am a woman.
