Kind of surprised he wasted time grabbing the shotgun. If you wait it spawns on a chair next to a save spot later on. Unless inferno difficulty is different.
It took me like two hours getting out the sewer just chilling playing normal and you telling he dam near almost beat the game three times 😭

Can someone explain to me why he empties most of his guns at the start?
The being bitten part I get (i assume you are faster on caution for whatever reason?) but the shooting into the ground part i have no idea what thats for.
The game has a hidden difficulty slider just like in RE4. If you miss with your shots and take damage, the hidden difficulty slider is lowered and makes the game slightly easier for you.

@@Kaazey81 I'm probably too late to answer, but it's stair skating. Basically you use the aiming animation to give you higher speed on stairs

Is there a reason he's not skipping the walkie talkie dialogue Jill has with Carlos? When I play on mouse and keyboard I can press P then skip the dialogue with space.
The radio call is considered as a cutscene so it does not affect total time while you are walking towards the next objective

Многие вещи просто ошарашивают. Расстрел патронов когда их мало. Бегать с красной зоне по здоровью. Бегать упираясь носом в пол и в то же время жопой чувствовать когда надо сделать уворот-перекат. Всё настолько чётко что создаёт иллюзию читерства. Ну не может человек задницей увидеть когда надо сделать перекат, но мы его видим. И хоть я и не люблю такие пробежки, но мастерству данного игрока трудно не позавидовать и оценить. Высший пилотаж во всех похождениях, браво.
A lot of things are just mind boggling. Shooting ammo when there are few. Run from the red zone for health. Run with your nose on the floor and at the same time feel with your ass when you need to dodge-roll. Everything is so clear that it creates the illusion of cheating. Well, a person cannot see with his ass when it is necessary to make a roll, but we see it. And although I don’t like such runs, it’s hard not to envy and appreciate the skill of this player. Aerobatics in all adventures, bravo.

Why does it look like your ‘dodges’ (when not actually dodging an enemy) look like you’re going so much further forward than you actually should be? (Haven’t been running the game long myself so I’m curious)

Why does he look upwards when passing through hunters and lickers? You walk faster or something?
for some reason they dont attack (or way less often) when you're aiming at the ceiling. Weird right ? He's just exploiting this in order to bypass enemies faster
The lickers are blind ( literally ) if you run they will run after you. You can walk and they can't get you, they only chase you if you run. this was the same for RE 2.

19:00 why do you shoot a lot of bullets on the ground and ceiling? Just curious
when you allow yourself to be bitten or shoot bullets past, then the difficulty on inferno is reset. Before entering the police station, we meet a Bred who cannot be killed by inferno, so when the speedrunners allow themselves to be bitten, Tyrell opens the door to the police station faster
It took me like 1 hr to complete the final boss on inferno.Those tenticle head stomps are a one shot and piss me off😢how do you dodge so perfectly?

It freezes the in-game timer. So it's basically free time for walking to next objective

@@dnegel9546 thats what i thought at first but i was like "dont they have enough pc specs to deal with frame drop when theres a lot of things happening on their screen" but i guess every little thing counts when doing this WR speedrun. thanks!
@@paramore13334 so from my understanding speedruns use a certain amount of fps or settings to make it fair for everyone. That way someone with an unlimited budget pc wont have an advantage over someone on a budget pc.
But yeah I really dkn why its done here tho. Could be possible that the character runs or moves slightly fast that way.

Picked this back up after not playing this game for 2 years. Enjoying the achievements but the inferno boss is so annoying. Been stuck on this for 4 days so far.

You can avoid getting hit or grabbed in certain situations by looking in a particular direction.
How do you have the magnum so early on?
You get it in the very beginning on this difficulty.

I thought all mods including skins made a run no longer legitimate. Did they change that rule to allow skins?
Skins don't count as mods because it's a physical appearance change that doesn't effect the game play

But for those who don’t know, the usual business with speedruners is like with everyone else. they enjoy the game at a leisure pace for the first run , get their bearings watch and enjoy story you get the idea we just chillen for first play through 😎 . Some runners do this off stream however but , It’s where second play throughs come in is where we start seeing actual attempted runs ,route building, strats and optimal and specific item locations and how to access them early on with this being built on overtime
I just personally hope resident evil 8 doesn’t hit the hard cap too soon . (In others words the perfect run that’s humanly possible)
I would like to see a fair amount of runs before it hits the spot re3 remake did. I feel like re2 remake had more of a speed run life (but it’s obvious thats due to the choice pick with Claire and Leon so you already have 4 different runs not including *difficulty’s* right there ) while re3 is just a straight shot
Edit: not implying people don’t still run the games also there’s still that chance of a new strat or something of the sorts coming to light tempting runners, to re play considered optimal runs for better times

Yes, but those interactions freeze the in-gamer timer, that’s why he didn’t skip them.
I remember beating the standard in 1:09 and I thought that was good
Damn 44 minutes? I was screwing around with the infinite rifle on normal and I managed to beat it in 1:36 and some change. I was just trying to get the achievement for doing it in under two hours.

I’m new to these speed runs so maybe someone can clear this up for me. The game seems to be running a little faster. Jill and the enemies seems to be moving slightly faster. Is this an addition to the higher difficulty? There are also parts where Jill recovers EXTREMELY quickly.
Also water physics seem sped up too.
