    I just saw Fr Richards at a 4 day mission, and he is incredible. His Passion story kept everyone in shock, it hits home much more than the Mel Gibson movie.

    If I would had known this priest when I was a teenager, I would had not committed adultery because he tells us with true filial love that God loves us with Agape love because he is Love! Now, after forty years of adultery, we had ten sons and daughters and all of them grew up to be good men and women. We baptized them, and all of them except one receive their first confession and their first communion. Two married by the Church and still are married after so many years. However, the other eight of them since they did not married by the church, they don't know the importance of their matrimony; they do not know that when they marry by the Church they marry for life. They are one in God and their matrimony is holy. I just cannot tell our grown up sons and daughters what they are missing if they don't marry by the Church, Roman Catholic Church, the original and only one church that our Lord Jesus founded. Thank you Fr. Larry Richards for serving and loving God through the sacrament of priesthood. Amen.

    Father Larry, proof there is still good goldy passionate men in the Roman Catholic church. The news these days would have one think otherwise.

    I loved this. It really is so powerful. There is one thing I wanted to point out, not maliciously, but I did want to point it out. Jesus was actually scourged 39 times, not 33. But wow, this is so powerful and it really is one of the most accurate talks on the subject I've seen.

    All the walking around in front of the altar is not appropriate!

      I agree. Only Protestant pastors walk up and down the stage during the sermon.
      Catholic priests should stand at the rostrum (I think there is a proper name for it but sorry that I don't know it) during the homily, not walk up and down across the tabernacle.

      Common, this is Fr. Larry Richards, it’s part of his personality. A bit hyper. It works for me and to others. It would be hard to change his personality just to be align with people’s expectations.
      (He was sent to anger management once)

      It's perfectly appropriately, don't conform the ways of God to your thinking. Where there is the Holy Spirit, there is freedom

    Fr. Larry Richards didn't the Holy Scripture says that when Thomas said that he would not believe Jesus is alive unless he touches Jesus' hands and put his fingers in Jesus' wombs? And Jesus appeared again to them in Body and Soul and shown His wombs to them?

    Great speech, but I disagree he didn't carry a whole cross. Jesus spoke of carrying our cross, like him; not carry out crossbeam. I like how he gets so emotional. I think his version is better than Raditz's (sp?).

    Ladies and Gentlemen, i present to you
    THE GREATEST GUILT TRIP ON PLANET EARTH
    i agree, being crucified is horrible; however having it be done for everyone on earth sounds a wee bit forced
    need i remind you that the Romans crucified thousands upon thousands of people
    and what makes this guy so special? he did it for you! he did it for you!
    by now i am absolutely convinced that the followers of Jesus added the sacrificial idea just to guilt people into following them
    and by the animated actions of this man i'd say it worked.

      steven desouza sorry but if you do not know anything about the scriptures ...please do not mock jesus!!

    • @j5555785
      @j5555785 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      steven desouza The thing might be that you don't feel special. He did it because all of creation is special. He did it to show us how much meaning we have to God, how much meaning you, Steven, have to God.
      Duly noted, as we discover more and more about our human history, human sacrifice has been our answer to God. Cannibalism and human sacrifice was practiced by far more years than any religion around today.
      He entered solidarity with our poverty and ignorance through this sacrifice.

    • @doomsdamnsd
      @doomsdamnsd 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      quick note to any others who intend on responding
      RESPOND TO MY ARGUMENT, SAYING I DON'T FEEL SPECIAL OR CLAIMING I DON'T UNDERSTAND SOMETHING AS MUCH AS YOU DO IS NOT AN ARGUMENT NEITHER IS IT AN EXPLANATION. I emplore you, tell me why i'm wrong not that i'm wrong

    • @momthree789
      @momthree789 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      steven desouzaIf you are not a believer, why make a negative comment on this video? Do you just want to harrass Christians? If you are sincerely looking for answers....please do it respectfully.
      You asked...what makes this guy special? HE WAS GOD! It doesn't get more special than that!
      The sins of the world needed to be attoned for. It's like if you broke your neighbors window...it's not enough to simply say you are sorry, you must make atonement...you must make it right.
      It's the same with our sins....they needed to be attoned for.
      As an act of love, Jesus offered Himself as the victim sacrifice to atone for our sins. What makes Jesus' crucifixtion different from others who were crucified was that Jesus was innocent...he was God...who voluntarily became a man and was tortured...more than anyone had ever been...simply because He loved us. One drop of His blood was all that was needed but He chose to be tortured so there wouldn't be any doubt in anyone's mind how much He love us. And if YOU were the only person on the face of the earth....He would have done it just for YOU....isn't that awesome. Would YOU go through such suffering for another person? Think about the kind of love it takes to do such a thing....it's hard to wrap your mind around it.....it's just awesome!!!
