I absolutely love Paul O'Grady, I would kill to be in the same room as him and Miriam Margolis ( please excuse the misspelled surname). Two of the most naturally funny people in existence.
When Paul moaned about Alan Titchmarsh copying his show, you have to remember that Paul used to be on ITV first with his teatime show until 2006 when he jumped ship to Channel 4. In 2007, ITV were left with Paul's old set, so they got Alan to do a similar style talk show, and it is no surprise to save cash they used Paul's old 2004-2005 set structure.
If I ever win the Lottery I'm going to call up Paul and Offer him a bribe of a big donation to Battersea Dog and Cat Rescue, if he will join me for a lovely dinner. I think he is one of the most genuine, honest, kind, witty, talented people in the business. He can make you roar with laughter one minute and be weeping 5 minutes later. I'm so glad that FTLOD has done so well.
Loved Paul O’Grady’s show, I still miss Buster. Story about the pig and the phone was hilarious 😂 Strangely the only thing I DON’T want to use my phone for is making voice calls 😄
Ummmm considering cilla died back in 2015 this cant be new. I mean not that I’m being weird or anything but I was shocked they were talking about cilla in the present tense when she has been gone ages.
I will never, to this day, work out what Paul saw in Cilla Black. By all accounts she was GHASTLY. A monstrous snob with a terrible reputation in the service industry. I thought Paul had a bit more integrity - especially after the way he used to mercilessly slag her off in the early 90's.
They were very close friends and had a similar sense of humour. They both came from Liverpool way and seemed to have a close bond, liked going out to theatre/musicals etc and holidays together. Who said Cilla was awful? We didn't know her, but Paul did and they were very close.

I can think of a dozen appalling people on tv who could only dream of being the decent human being and kindly host, that is Paul To start with, that ghastly Jeremy Clarkson, that talentless monkey sidekick Richard Something and the sad no personality nerd that makes up the 3rd of that group. There is not a Karcrapion who would earn enough for air, in the whole group, if actually had to show ANY talent or intellect.
It's like watching your two gossipy pissed aunts having a good chin wag LOL I love it!!!
Whether as Lily Savage or as himself, Paul O'Grady is just the sort of guest you would want on any chat show.
