For those who are saying that the big guy is not putting anything behind his punches: in sparring, you must show your partner not how powerful you hit but where the gaps are in your defense and point that with quick/slow punch based on his experience. I'm not sure what his goal is for this sparring session (maybe improve his defense when fighting a quicker boxer) but sparring is about control and for me he is better at it then Eubank Jr. I appreciate Eubank Sr. as a fighter and as a coach. Look at 9:55 where Jr unloads some heavy punches and then listen what Eubank Sr. says at 10:03 and how Jr. obeys. The outcome is simple: more punches landed, more points and possibly more openings. Jr. doesn’t move his head a lot (nor GGG) and he is easy to hit with the jab. If he doesn’t improve this, then he must have a good chin or else the result with GGG(if that fight will ever be made) will be another KO for GGG.
This is the biggest (boxing) cultural differences, IMO between the US and the UK...sparring. I remember late 80's going to that Peacock gym and was really surprised at how sparring was viewed as more strategic game planning, where here in the US it's more about mimicking the actual fight. Eubank Sr learned to box in the states. I remember Nigel Benn coming to 5th street and was unable to keep up because he was having to go rounds with a fresh guy every other round. But as he kept saying "this is why I'm here".
@mark daniels because its the truth. 30 professional and 100 amateur fights wont give anyone braindamage. but if you do hard sparring daily for 15 years, than you will definitly have brain damage.

He looked devastating against blackwell coz blackwell fought in the pocket, Eubank can only fight in close quarters, a good boxer takes him to school 9/10 times imo

When i fought we used to spar at 80% so we could try stuff and not get hit too hard gave us a chance to make mistakes in the ring sparring and not in the real fights

young chris has some good boxing...but not enough head movement, and most of time he may as well be boxing a head on a stick as he is not interested in body ...only sometimes...he should always be working both head and body ...especially on such a tall opponent...but the main thing he is missin is head movement...ok his guard is pretty tight ..but you always know where is head is gonna be ..because he dont move it ...only occasionally.
How do they not have whiplash every morning after sparring like this?? When I hard spar (like once a fkn month) I have whiplash and brain ache and feel like I want to vomit the next morning. How do they do it every day??

spot on. his conditioning and stamina have improved since saunders, but that's it. He needs a top level trainer, I'm not sure what happened with Booth

eubank in his previous fights never displayed a good jab which he worked off and rolled off to land other shots, its not just the sparring session.
