Hey Ryan I got my Donek Kapton Twin 2 weeks ago and absolutely love it. I'm surprised at how well it does everything. I got Donek to detune it and it rides like a dream. Better than any other board I've owned. I realize now that my other boards have been too soft and too small. The Knapton Twin turns surprisingly just as well as my smaller boards.
Would you ever consider making a bloopers video? We always see superhero riding on TH-cam but it'd be nice to see how you deal with bad days, mistakes while riding, and also if you have any training tips such as how many hours you spend as a pro rider, and if you do any other activities off-mountain like going to the gym etc.
Thanks for all of the great content you've given us over the years. You're inspiring a whole new generation of riders out there. I'm noticing a bunch more carver on the mountains this year. I had a group of people notice my board in Whistler last weekend, and a woman had purchased a new Knapton Twin for her husband. They said they met you last year at Breckenridge and that you were very kind to them, rode a few laps and gave them some tips on their riding (they were an Asian couple). Very cool man! Cheers from Canada!

Hey Ryan, in addition to the vinyl on the sleeves which is great, I’ve added in wearing soccer shin guards on my forearms so when I’m making those giant S turns the shins guards are like mini sleds across the snow. You should give it a try.

Loving the return of your content, Ryan. One interesting topic you've alluded to multiple times is adjusting carves/turns based on the conditions of the snow & runs. I think you could do an entire video covering this topic and getting into great detail about the types of turning adjustments one should make as the conditions change and get worse. For example, how your turns change if/when the runs are chewed up and/or icy. It's something I've often thought about and makes such a big difference with how I snowboard as the day/conditions progressively change. Keep up the great content!

This would be a great video topic, and not only how to adjust riding style, but also board selection, if you have more than one board to choose from. I certainly do adjust my riding style based on conditions. When it's colder and hard pack or ice, I definitely take it easy out there. Soft groomers are my favorite as I can carve, practice tricks, jumps, and not worry about falling. Powder days are super fun and great for big jumps.

Ryan - Fellow MN boarder here. Love your content. Followed you video and made three small tweaks to my binding setup and improved my heel side and tie side carving today!!! Thank you !
    1). Forward lean… I increased mine to a strong F3 on Cartel X
2). Put the ankle strap on the highest setting. Implication… I ride Burton Ion boots. Lots of boot, not enough strap… but enough there to work… helps with toe side leverage… good call
    3) Align high backs to be parallel to the heel side edge… subtle, but nice add.
Was digging trenches today… edge analysis - on target!!! Love IT!
    Thanks!

Ryan! Your mastery, advise and positive coherent character are unmatched. Thank you! Damn, you are my 'boarding hero!
Regarding your thought experiment on "How to Really Really Carve #15", will you expand upon the heels/toes board tilt, specifically, the position of your sidecut in relation to your torso? Whereas if the torso is fairly neutral ("silent"), when transitioning from edge to edge, the contact points are like a swift pendulum, extended well beyond the centerline. Any advise on how to tap into that physical mechanic? ...video idea?... eh eh 😋Thanks again for your inspirational work and Qapla'!

    Hey Ryan, happy shredding!
I'm planning a snowboard trip out to CO for the first time roughly in Jan. Hope the crowd is low and snow is great at that time.
    1. Would you say doing a solo trip is feasible in CO, cost-wise and social vibe of the mountain? (i.e. if I were not to rent a car and take local public buses)
    2. For roughly 1 week would you recommend I visit multiple resorts (and base myself in Denver) or stick to ~2 resorts? My Ikon pass gives me access to Copper, Steamboat, Winter Park, Eldora, Arapaboe. Unfortunately, it seems the resorts arent close together and public transportation doesnt seem as accessible. Is there a better town to better access all these resorts with bus systems?

Otherwise in Denver, Mirage Sports Bar, Friday DYP, Saturday BYP, around 7. That scene is crazy though! Literally some nights there are eight Masters... I've never experienced this level of competition other than at Majors. Hell, three of the four players in the Open Doubles at Worlds this year came from this weekly tourney. (Todd Loffredo, Scotty Wydman, and Keven Romero)... And on the Womens side, Cindy Head made the finals once again... it's nuts... And amazing. Hit up Avon. Please let me know if you want to join me at one of those resorts. :)

These days I'm recommending Ride Insanos. At first they were too stiff for me, but after leaving the boa just a bit loose for awhile, now they feel like the best interface to the board I've ever had. Small footprint too. If looking for really deep / high edge angle carving, an extra wide Donek is a brilliant choice for not dragging toes / heelcups.

Thank You for your amazing vids and advices.
I just want to know your opinion. My boot size is 49. None of uw/sw snowboards helped me to avoid bites. I was looking for the wildest board and the widest I found it's lib.t. stupm ape. But the website shows it's hybrid shape. Will it work for carving? Or if you know any wider boards..
