Oh yes, here we are, finally at the big one. "The Shell" is one of best episodes of the show, and one of the most beautiful episodes of a cartoon I've ever seen. I love how it seriously addresses inner beauty and loving yourself without losing the show's brand of humor, and in a show where the universe was nearly destroyed when someone broke the status quo, it's so satisfying seeing Gumball and Penny finally getting together with her new look.

The fact that Gumball actually got the girl he’s been pursuing since season one before both Finn and Mordecai will never not be hilarious
Exactly, like Finn was in love with PB, but she was too old for him and moved on and Mordecai was in the friend zone with Margaret, but he was being too much of a simp later in the show.
Mordecai almost became Margaret's official boyfriend when the writers decided to end the relationship. Then they later decided the show needed a love triangle.

Finn at least had the excuse of being a boy, and moved on quite a bit faster. He also, unlike Mordecai and CJ, maintained healthy friendships with those he broke from.
Funny thing is in the more recent episodes we saw they reacted to in one of them anise was dumb bla bla but technically gumbal behind nicole and anise is technically the 3rd smartest family member
So it makes sense that he got the girl before Darwin as well
And anise.
Gumball’s rage is hard to justify sometimes, depending on the scenario, but his rage towards Patrick was so damn satisfying. There are people who will accept you no matter what you like
I absolutely love how he immediately follows up justifiably blowing up at Penny's dad by aggressively assuring him that he shouldn't beat himself up about it because parenting is hard.
@@sushiroll3795 Upon rewatching that scene, I kinda wish there was a brief callback to Kenneth in "The Microwave", with Gumball saying "Trust me; me and Darwin know from experience." Then the rest plays as normal.
Nicole was built absolutely different in the Mothers and this isn't even close to her true power

After reading these comments, I'm glad to know that we can all agree that The Shell is BY FAR one of the BEST episodes.
I was just surprised and happy Gumball officially got with Penny, especially after seeing Mordecai and Finn fumble their relationships
@@malwarex2015I can forgive Finn a little bit since he learns from his relationship mistakes and he knows he's not ready to be emotionally responsible for someone else besides Jake
Finn is a teenager with a lot of responsibilities. Mordecai is a full-grown adult with one single job a day.
@@falcon8105 I mean, Jake made some mistakes too. Since, y’know, he used to be J. T. Dawgsone. He only knows how healthy relationships works as a newbie to a healthy relationship. Finn also remained friends with FP.
It’s honestly impressive that Anais figured out a plan to get the computer to herself in “The Password” in only, like, ten seconds. She knew the boys would never suspect she had the original password and changed it, knew how they’d act afterward trying to get the parents’ approval, and knew that the ‘rents would fight for the boys’ approval.
Nobody hand Anais a Death Note. She’d be unstoppable.
I was so confused because the music sounded so familiar in what it was trying to resemble
I mean, she had experience with the Remote, understands how Petty Gumball is, how much of a sidekick Darwin is, and how impressionable Richard is.
She’s not cocky enough to get caught like Yagami.
You can really tell that adults with a strong understanding of life wrote the dialogue in this show with how they approach things. I like how in "The Shell", Gumball told Patrick what it was he did wrong, but also told him that its okay and parenting is hard, so he shouldnt beat himself up about it. He knows that he love his daughter and wants to protect her, but doesn't exactly know how, so he makes some poor choices.
I feel like a lot of people will hate someone for one bad thing out of 10 good things, while someone else does 10 bad things, and people laugh it off as a funny joke because they "like them".
I feel its important for everyone to take equal accountability, while also being understanding of other people's situations. Its important to see things from a view that is not your own.

"The shell" just feels so weirdly cinematic compared to most other episodes in the show, it balances comedy and drama so well, it feels like there are real stakes and concequences and even the cinematography (if that's the right word when discussing animation) feels different, the rotating camera at the dinner scene and the angle of the shot of gumball crying on his bed feel weirdly unique compared to everything else we've seen in the show
It really just has a totally different vibe, almost as if they brought in a special guest director or something
Or a person that knows how to use blender (they made gumball in blender)
They even use Ray Tracing for gumball because this is actually 3D (at least the the world is 3D and some of the characters is 3D)

That clown has been expertly hidden in the dark behide doors and corners in several episodes. It really creepy when you do see him because he just looks directly at the camera

The Shell really was a banger episode, one of the best
It was great to see Penny have a pretty big character episode here and that last scene was just chef’s kiss
Funny thing is that the clown that appears in the window also appears in many other past AND future episodes in the background just lurking in the shadows. For example, in the episode "The Joy", in a scene where the corridors were dark, you can see the clown peeking from behind a wall and at the back of a corridor. It's a creepy little easter egg from the show🤡
The Shell is one of the best and most beautiful episodes. Penny finally came out of her shell and came out as a beautiful shape-shifting fairy. Gumball stands up to Patrick and tells him off. The Banana's house was too funny. Gumball had kissed Penny

The Mothers episode was amazing and funny. Nicole is the strongest and toughest mom because she has super motherly instincts and rescue her children. I feel bad for Banana Barbara that she's gotten hurt throughout the episode
