I love playing Classic, and the 3x xp rates fits my current life situation, so it’s a great place for me! I think yesterday around 12pm EST there and I want to say there was 4800 online? But I think it’s a lot of EU players, because last night EST there was just under 2000 online. But surely that’s enough to try to get a raid team going.
Netherwing has been a lot of fun so far. Firstplace on horde hit me up lets game. Just wish they would have made the racials fair and equal by giving Horde the 1% Draenei hit buff.
I just checked their website says pop at 5 pm om sunday is 5k, thats good since its been some time since launch, hardcore got boring soon even on turtle wow which i think is amazing, im here for tbc pvp, lets make it happen boys
I agree, I personally feel if I want the classic feel I’ll just play vanilla and if I wanna play something classic like but not as time consuming I’d just rather play WOTLK TBC just doesn’t scratch the itch for me however I’m glad there’s somewhere for people to play (even though it probably won’t last for very long)
They should really consider combining both vanilla and TBC into one because I've seen videos how about some of the things that didn't come out until the burning crusade we're actually supposed to be part of the original game

pservers runninng vanilla/tbc/wrath are now using classic sniffs.. which means they are no longer "like it was before".. i suggest playing on expansions which blizzard didnt release in "classic" mode :) for example stormforge mop realm :)
As long as the population stay above 4k im good, it goes lower, no thx 😊 normally tbc servers somehow always goes totally ghost town after 2 month time, let's hope not here !

Honestly I would be really careful. Even tho they do have a good population right now. Keep in mind that Stormforge's Wrath was a disaster, I got to level 80 and saw how the population just kept dropping and dropping, even before Ulduar. Most Wrath servers die before ToC, but that server was already dying before Ulduar. And of course we can never forget the TBC disasters that were: Gummy's, Hellground relaunch, PlayTBC and Corecraft. Like the thing I find funny is that despite MoP getting so much hate, the Mistblade server has been the most successful realm on Stormforge, it has managed to keep a healthy pop for a long time now, meanwhile their Wrath died extremely fast. Time will tell, personally I don't think this server will last either. I've noticed that generally expansions before MoP in private servers just do not last long at all (there are exceptions of course like Turtle WoW. The only thing Stormforge really has going for it at the moment is that there are no other TBC competitors.
the fact that its x3 xp rate and soon to be x6 boosts in store leads me to believe that it might burn itself out , it feels like more and more servers want to rush endgame , and dont get me started on the racial swaps
@@mcsmash4905 Well the opposite could be said too. That slow leveling burns people out. I mean hell, when you Look at Everlook's statistics. Majority of the characters are not even level 20, now of course it also counts alts, but many of those chars are the main characters.
@@taavidude Imo people who can't go past level 20 at x1, wouldn't stick for long on high rate anyway. It just means that they're not really determined to play. With private servers it was always about making compromises because every server was different with different changes. True wow players were able to turn a blind eye for some changes they don't like. And the ones who insta quit coz they don't like one thing, they wouldn't play for long anyway.
@@RevarBB Well 1x rates in Vanilla is super slow. I for one would stay for higher rates, if I go to like a Wrath server, I simply don't like 1x rates, because I came for the Wrath content. I don't feel like slugging through the Vanilla and TBC content for the 100th time to finally get to the content that I actually came for.
@@taavidude For expansions i agree but they should leave expansion content x1. So on Stormforge TBC 1-58 should be x3 but 58-70 x1. Well, 3x sucks anyway so i'd even say instant 58 then x1. Vanilla x1 is normal or even too fast coz you still end up not doing some zones and quests, x0.5 would be best. Leveling is one of the main aspects of mmorpg genre, that's why new wow became mmoendgame coz they almost completely killed leveling. It's all about rush boosts and endgame, fuck this bullshit.

How about no? Some of us want to play vanilla+ type servers and experience WoW in a brand new way. WoW in pservers will never die, Especially due to the rise in custom WoW servers
It wasn't explained very well here - you can only pick racials of a race that can play your class, also in Arena your char model shows as whatever race racials you have so you know what you're up against.
i dont know where you got that from , servers like warmane have been alive for a very long time , look at their lordaeron realm which has been running since like 2016 , but yes i think that this server will burn itself out , the x3 xp rate at the start and they plan to add x6 boosts on their stores , i played for like a day or so , less than 24h after server started you had people on lvl 62 lol
I seriously don't see the point. How many servers do people need? How much more can you fragment the playerbase? TBC classic was destroyed by modern metaslaving and GDK/real money trading for gear. I don't understand the appeal really. 2004-2008 is gone and isnt coming back.
I was thinking the same exact thing, with blizzards incompetence cemented its obvious that private servers are the better option. However the last thing we need is a gorllion private servers. A lot of players won’t even bother coming back because they don’t want to go through the trouble of analyzing every pserver.
I'm happy playing classic era ATM. It's not that I want the culture or for 2004 to come back I just wanted to play classic lol. This is the kind of problem that solves itself one way or another ultimately once enough time passes there will be a turtle wow moment for tbc.
I wanted to like the server but the majority of the players are Russian and they are lying about the player count. It has dropped dramatically already if you play on it you can tell.
vanilla is back, tbc is back, what's next? wotlk will be back in 1-2 years as well when cata comes. at this point we're just going around in a circle over and over again.
this isnt an TBC classic server, its an heavy modded server, arbitrary giving npc mobs 2 skills that arent in the tbc classic content totaly over powered dungeon mobs and mecanics having their own gold farmers witch keep spamming chat the store is selling mounts and xp boost for ridiculous prices(75-200dollar) the community is like the official blizzard servers> pure trash no server forums, cause it would be flooded with complaints this server want one thing....money
You forgot to mention the server is using the Atlantiss core - same core used for their previous two servers and is the best scripted one out there.

Server has been running absolutely beautifully so far. Community has been solid as well. Zones have been populated unless you are on at like 2 a.m.

I kinda agree with both of you, but tbh, the best experience is to go all the way from vanilla to wotlk and kill the Lich king in the end.
