Colton Theisen i second this. There was a guy who came to bmt with me under the impression the standards were much higher so he was panicking thinking he was gonna do bad because he was “small and weak”. He ended up missing warhawk by only 3 points. The test was easy as hell. No need to worry people.

Also, a word of advice to those leaving in the future. Push yourself hard during the final PT test. If you feel like you’ve reached your limit before the time runs out try to give a few more -at least 3(push ups and sit ups). I was annoyed at how many people just gave up because “it hurt” only to miss the mark by only a few reps. The pain is worth it. If your legs start to hurt like mine during the run just slow your pace, never walk. You’ll get yelled at for walking anyway. I nearly sprinted my first mile(hence why my legs started hurting) and slowly jogged the last half mile. When i finished i looked back and realized how far ahead I was of the majority of the others. I finished in 8:21. Again, the pain is worth it.

How much "on your own" time do you get? like do they let you run extra if you want to? thanks!

No you can’t. The only running you will do is on run days for PT. AF is very light PT compared to other branches. It’s very technical. The most you will run in a week is 3 days. But there is a lot of “on your own time” especially in the 7th week

No but you do have time to push-ups and sit-ups in the dorms and on Sundays you should be able to go do pull-ups as long as you have a wingman. Unless they changed that rule....

I can already hit the warhawk numbers for the female stats and I meet my recruiter in person next week ! Lol . A little bummed to hear that the PT isn’t all that and I may even lose some muscle mass and endurance while at BMT. Looks like I’ll be doing some extra workouts in my “free” time while there.

Something kind of weird I’ve noticed about a lot of these intro to the army videos is that these guys all have a lot of shoe boxes in the background. What’s up with that? Like why keep the box and why do they have so many shoes haha one for each day of the month. I’m not trying to be an ass I just think it’s kind of interesting to see all these guys have that in common
