Parallel Scara Robot- Mechatronics Capstone Project

- Our group's final project for the Mechatronics Bachelors program at Clover Park Technical College, Lakewood, WA, USA.
Custom designed and built from various parts, a couple of Teknic servos, various proprietary and online coding. Our 3 member team chose this project to demonstrate our skills and challenge ourselves for our final Mechatronics Capstone project. We used various disciplines: mechanical, electrical, programming, kinematics, CAD, machining, 3D printing and project management.
The parallel scara (Selective Compliance Assembly Robot Arm) is typically seen in small compact pick and place operations and novel 3D printing (as of this writing). Parallel scaras excel at speed, repeatability, and rigidity.
