This is a magical perfume. I sprayed it on a denim shirt about 5 days back and it still smells awesome. Everyday the smell changed and now it feels like a sweet leathery fabric. Did not expect such a marvellous dry down.
Simply awesome fragrance and a brilliant review! Kashab Al Oudh is pure premium class. The only issue I have with this is that its too soft so I usually use Vaseline or moisturiser before applying to give it a projection boost. I guess its because premium ingredients usually don't pack any artificial synthesisers. Apart from that, definitely one of my favourites. It smells as elegant as it looks!
Same here..I got decant of this.. even I apply moisturizer before all my frag use.. for first 30 mins it project better..later it sit close to skin n remain for long time..it feel like my skin is absorbed with with Perfume n smell really nice dusty..lil sweet... woody dusty Sandalwood with oud .
Kashab has a very striking resemblance to Cambodian Oudh in the dry down - that beautiful sweet woody dry down on skin. I wonder what would be good to mix with some Cambodian Oudh to get that sweet woody aroma similar to Kashab Al Oudh... Nikhil - I think you should definitely do a video on your experiences in layering perfumes and mixing Oudh oils...your experience on what type of notes work and complement each other will be most interesting! (Kashab means wood in Arabic btw)
Thanks for the reply nikhil. I ordered it already. Since i already have western niche oud, i want dry smokey oud. I also ordered khashab al-oud safari pack. I hope they are not alike. Just a thought, ateeque and khashab fall in which category of oud ? I want to possess each type of oud. Btw I love your videos bro, keep up the good work.
Exotic Scents so i recieved both products. i love the presentation on these bottles, and very high quality stuff. ASQ is my new fav frag brand. im glad i took my chance with ateeque, it has this unique rich smell. thanks for you video bro, i was hesitating until i watched this video.
Update: Original available at Splash Perfumes, but only the Heritage version available on the global ASQ site. Is the original being discontinued or just limited distribution??
Even though it is labeled as Aoud, this is primarily a Sandalwood fragrance. It is fabulous and very underrated. Presentation is 1st class and longevity is good. It is not a compliment getter because sandalwood is not a "sexy" scent but it smells divine. Thanks for bringing more attention to it. If you wear it you will definitely not smell it on anyone else. It is not popular but it should be.
Thank you so very much for your advise and everything you do for the community. i've tried Brown Incense but the loongevity wasn't great. what do you think about Black Stone for him by ASQ?
You are one day late. I flew out of Saudi Arabia on July 29th and returned to Canada yesterday. Had you released this review earlier probably I would have bought it. I bought several Rasasi and Swiss Arabian perfumes though.
There was a sale going on - for Boruzz - buy one get one free for Boruzz - Price for one is SR 470 ( $ 125) - for this price 2 boruzz fragrance is a great deal. I did not have time to visit Rasasi later - A huge miss. I bought - Incense burner and Malaki bakhoor from Swiss Arabian. I got Davidoff Leather blend for $ 60.00 ( amazing fragrance). Some Rasasi perfume oils
Hi Nikhil, iI have been following your channel and I really enjoy it. Im looking to buy Heritage Blend , Safari Extreme , Taif Rose and Khashab el oud from ASQ. Are these scents all different or do you know of any resemblance between them ?
Hi Nikhil. As this review is old what I want to know is would you still recommend this to a person who is now into More exclusive ouds of Areej & Bortnikoff. Also, how is attar of this compared to the spray version.
.I got decant of this.. even I apply moisturizer before all my frag use.. for first 30 mins it project better..later it sit close to skin n remain for long time..it feel like my skin is absorbed with with Perfume n smell really nice dusty..lil sweet... woody dusty Sandalwood with oud . As u r alrdy oud user of ultra niche .. u will feel it very okish..for me as new oud user I found it's very refined not at all synthetic smelling n soft scent ..
Im a newbie when it comes to Oud and I recently smelled Cashmere and Velvet mood by MFK and I'm hooked! How does this compare? I'm seriously considering blind buying this since it's half the price.
Exotic Scents Thank you for replying Nikhil! I really love Cashmere mood. Based on your experience, what other frags would you recommend that have a similar scent to Cashmere mood? Price is kinda steep but if I can't find a good alternative, I'm going to bite the bullet.
hi bro.. very good review as usual.. I am asking this for long time and you had finally made this. why you changed name as Exotic scents? any way both name or any name is good for me..
Hello ! is there a chance you may know of anyone who may be able to provide Khasab as Oud and Makkah blend to users in the US by chance? I really feel like i need both those bottles in my collection, I have Safari Extreme and Qurashi blend limited editions already and have really fallen in love with this house.
Do you think sometimes the premium packaging of a fragrance sways people to give positive reviews of a scent and ignore perhaps some of it's dislikeable elements? With ASAQ sometimes I've found scents can be overpriced simply because of the classy bottle and ASAQ brand label - similar quality scents can at times be found from other less premium or well known houses. (Although Kashab is top class)
The signature perfumes of their respective houses like Kashab Al Oudh and Kalemat and perhaps Safari oil (although I believe Safari oil is an occasional wearer but I can see how its very regal) - I think these types actually deserve their respective packaging although some of the scents smell nowhere near as prestigious as their packaging. I guess its all profit driven aimed at those shallow users who are more pleased with aesthetics over true substance.
Hey nikhil. What would you recommend for someone just getting into oud. I like Tom ford oud wood, 24 gold, Royal oud by creed. Those are the three I have. I'm starting to like it more and more. I was going to try the last one you put out a video for but I'm not sure.
+Nikhil S would I contact your friend for the discovery set as well? I live in Las Vegas so I'm not sure the Indian site will work for me. Unless they ship here to the USA. I was looking at amwaaj al oud by lattafa and its 40 dollars for a bottle which isn't to bad but I hear it's a fraction of the price in India which makes me not want to buy it for so much more money.
hello I want to buy some heavenly sent oud from you, more like a tester I'm a first time buyer, I want a fruity mix with a masculine scent, I want long lasting oud
Hello brother, I need your opinion about Black Incense, does it last long time and what about the projection and sillage? And if i have to choose between Black Incense and Khashab Al Oud what do you advise me? even though i know they're two kinds of fragrance. Thank you and i hope you'll answer me soon.
Its a blend that you wear for yourself more than anyone else perhaps for those intimate special occasions or events. It has a very soft silage and projection and it is a very sophisticated blend. It took me a while to accept and love the beauty of Kashab since it isn't a scent that tries too hard to impress others. Its a personal scent for you and for those close to you. It is more elegance than a party stand out. The Borozz range by Rasasi would make better party impressions (Atheer Cambodia and then Asrar Indonesia).
The oil isn't exactly high quality. Personally, I'd recommend avoiding it - it's more like a collectors pack. The magic is in the original Kashab Al Oudh blend. If you want some resembling affordable oil that is tolerable for personal use, I'd recommend going for some lower grade Cambodian or Indian Oudh although sampling is a must.
I'm quite disappointed with the Quintessence pack of Kashab Al Oud. The black oil smells cheap and its not worth blending - its just ASAQ trying to make some easy money. If anything, it shows how excellent the original Kashab Al Oudh is and the level of skill and talent the perfumers have for putting the right components together perfectly. I have a feeling that if Kashab Al Oudh was not an EDT, it would not have been possible to produce such a pristine blend as an oil alone. I'm contemplating on whether the Kashab Heritage will pack a louder punch - longevity is the only thing missing...

Awesome review!! Very appealing picture of this fragrance. It would be so cool to visit an ASQ shop...hopefully soon :).
MrOz hey Oz, have you heard about Dahn Oud ateeque by ASQ. store.asqgrp.com/collections/princess/products/aged-aoud-oil
Is it worth the price

before even finishing this video,i have just ordered myself this bottle and it's attar. thank you Nikhil
So happy I found your channel as we seem to share similar taste in fragrance. Very high quality reviews and presentation. You are very talented!
I'm seriously considering a blind buy of this. Available now from their global site for approx $130 USD. Very informative review!
Actually the "heritage" version is what's available. I can't find the original
Update: Original available at Splash Perfumes, but only the Heritage version available on the global ASQ site. Is the original being discontinued or just limited distribution??
Why are some of the ouds (such as Heritage version of this) not available on the UK site of ASQ?
Wow thank you for sharing your in depth knowledge on oud. Well executed review! I would be very interested to invest in this.

Hello thank you. How you know its crystal?
If you could only wear one type of fragrance, would it be attars or perfume sprays?
Thank you so very much for your advise and everything you do for the community. i've tried Brown Incense but the loongevity wasn't great. what do you think about Black Stone for him by ASQ?

You could try at www.naazperfumes.com Haris.
Is the fragrance stable strong?
There is a flanker by the name The Heritage
Ard Al Zafaran have a clone or something similar going by the Kashab Al Oudh label going for about £15-£20.

Hello brother Nikhil, between Khashab Al Oud and Khashab Al Oud Heritage, what would you advise me. Thank you
Thank you brother.
great review.....keep going
It doesn't last long enough comparing to the other oud perfume that i used
hello I want to buy some heavenly sent oud from you, more like a tester I'm a first time buyer, I want a fruity mix with a masculine scent, I want long lasting oud
Exotic Scents with Nikhil thanks, it's hard to trust eBay
Hello brother,
I need your opinion about Black Incense, does it last long time and what about the projection and sillage? And if i have to choose between Black Incense and Khashab Al Oud what do you advise me? even though i know they're two kinds of fragrance.
Thank you and i hope you'll answer me soon.
Black incense very special! One of my friend give me one bottle for one week to test it, the longetivity is incredible
I am new to this As you said." its not for parties", what does that mean? Does this oud has just Arabian inspiration or westerns do love it?
Its a blend that you wear for yourself more than anyone else perhaps for those intimate special occasions or events. It has a very soft silage and projection and it is a very sophisticated blend. It took me a while to accept and love the beauty of Kashab since it isn't a scent that tries too hard to impress others. Its a personal scent for you and for those close to you. It is more elegance than a party stand out. The Borozz range by Rasasi would make better party impressions (Atheer Cambodia and then Asrar Indonesia).
how does this compare to the oil version of this. i have the oil version and it has a skanky overpowering punchy smell...
o ok. thanks

Holy crap, $190 on eBay
+Nikhil S oh I missed that part lol, might've been searching at the same time you mentioned the price
I'm quite disappointed with the Quintessence pack of Kashab Al Oud. The black oil smells cheap and its not worth blending - its just ASAQ trying to make some easy money.

You dont know parfum!
