I live in Biel and work in Bern. It's only 24 minutes by train. Both arenas are only 20 minutes away by car.
I think, it depends what the broadcaster wants to do.
They talked about making Eurovision simple and for the people. Many places to encounter, to do things together. For all people to meet. So, Bern-Biel would be best because there are a lot of spaces around the arena.
And they want to make Eurovision affordable for everyone. To show that Switzerland is not only for rich people. And Zürich and Geneva are very expensive. Even a beer or a coffee costs more than double than what we pay in Biel.
Yes, Basel, Zürich and Geneva are more international, more elite. We are more simpáticos😊
