Interesting. A lot has been happening in Denver particularly with the light rail and electrified heavy rail. I think Union Station may be a terminus the Eastbound Zephyr having to reverse in?
Great catches Ryan! Sure is a big ole place isn't it? Amtrak has to use a wye and back into the Tampa, FL station with the Silver Star as well. Seems like a design flaw in a way. Great shots and information! Cheers, Dan
The fact there isn't an underground station in this major city makes me sick to my stomach. Than there is Amtrak operations into to Denver is enough to give a man a heart attack.
@I zip-tied my Penis to a brick That's what I said. Yes! The Government should pay and the people deserve a quality infrastructure that will make it convenient for them.
Does the track end at the Denver Union Station? Are there no tracks going straight through it? Does the Cailfornia Zephyr have to back out to get to next station?
It certainly has changed since I went there back in 1980. I did quite a bit of railfanning.

Denver rail is 21 century. Amtrak.... welll... 20th century?

The station is a stub, but trains go east or west out of the depot after backing in
@@MichiganCentralLines So yes?
@@rail-ryder7135 yep there’s a hidden wye both eastbound and westbound zephyrs use to get to the platform.
Cool video!
Nice video. Why were you in Denver?
You switched the "y" and "e" in the word Zephyr
