The Labrador Retriever, often abbreviated to Labrador, is a breed of retriever dog that was developed from imported Canadian fishing dogs. Labs descend from the Newfoundland Dog and the St. John’s Water Dog in Newfoundland, Canada. The Labrador Retriever was recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1917 and thereafter rose slowly but steadily in popularity due to its incredible versatility, obedience, and rugged good looks. It is now considered the world’s most popular breed.

Just curious what vaccines and dewormer you give and on what schedule? I’m going to start raising papillon puppies (bringing home our little Maggie Weaver O’Sage to be our future Mama Dog in a few more weeks!). Thank you for the great content and being so transparent with your viewers about how you run a successful dog breeding business. I’ve gleaned so much from your videos and am so excited to get started with my dream job (Aside from being a mama & teacher to six kiddos that is!) 🙂

I really enjoy your videos!!! Do you have the cement blocks along the fence line to prevent digging? If so, does it work well? What is it exactly? Thanks!!!

Yes the blocks are to prevent digging and they work great for that! They are the 14x7x3 1/2 inch decorative pavers from Lowes/ Menards. Thanks for watching!

My 1 yr old Labrador got accidental tied with my male Lab on her first heat. Our plan was to breed both but not until she was closer to 2 yrs old. Any thoughts on how to proceed?

It’s no accident lol! It sounds like you’re having puppies. I’d let my vet know about it and press on. It’s too late to change anything. We let the females mature to heat 3 most of the time. At that point they’re mentally ready for motherhood. I’d be ready to help feed those pups just in case she won’t.

@@must_love_labs I contacted my Vet and we have a plan in place. True you have a point. And thank you for the advice.
