I can never get over how vividly you paint the despair and chaos of deepwoken into music. You have got some serious talent man.
I can see it when I listen to this; being jumped my no-life max levels while I’m a freshie right out the doors of the Lordsgrove. As I try to run, threshers, Legion snipers, and hive mechs attack. The survival rate is low, and just a few hits from the max level will kill me.

Deepwoken easily has the best soundtrack of any Roblox game I'm aware of. The music really makes the game extra special, and it wouldn't feel anything like it without it.
Any good game with a good soundtrack game pretty much wouldn’t feel anything like it without one. Tower defense simulator has lots of really good osts too but yeah I think deepwoken ost is so much better

The name “insomnia” in an ost with names that talk about dreams (the main menu theme is called “to sleep, dreaming” as you likely know) already tells you something’s up

I LOVE the amount of distortion and immediate changes of paces in the music it really shows you can go from mauling a monster to hearing a hundred others approach to seeing all your paths have been blocked
while layer 1's combat theme was full of doom and suspense, this has so much more of an unhinged, "where am i?? what the hell is going on!?" Kind of feeling. Its so chaotic and terrifying, well representing the feeling of most who entered the second layer for the first time. while the first layer was risky, for the most part you knew what to expect. This, however, is something entirely new, unknown, and uncharted. you have no idea what could be around the next corner, but you know it may very well be the end of you. chaos and disorder rule this realm, and you have no other choice but to brave through the incomprehensible trials ahead.
Funny thing is L2 is a dungeon with a mostly linear path than L1 with an open world, both maps are equally rememberable tbh, you know what to expect in both

scyphozia: everything you’ve worked for is on the line. your life, your journeys, your connections, could all be severed with one mistake. this is especially true for pvp, you know that at the end, only one of you will remain.
eternal gale: you might make it out alive, maybe. but if you do, you will not be the same. we all know deepwoken’s motif of “the song”. i see the song as an underlying truth, and those who know it, can shape its power into whatever they want. layer 1s them had a more organized song, and therefor organized power, making everything more clear. layer 2s theme is way more chaotic, driving a force to turn anyone truly insane.

An excellent ost as always. It's possible to discern the Leit motif of the depth which makes us feel like we are about to wipe at any time. With it being more intense and as a bit of insanity to it, it really associates well with the enemies we encounter in Layer 2 which look almost like Eldritch horrors. This song complements the grotesque style of layer 2 ( For the monsters and the fact that snow is parasite eggs ) perfectly. You have a huge talent in music and it's so great to see that you make music for one of our favorite games.
Thank you very much Naktigonis for giving our favorite game a music that reinforces so much the atmosphere.

Naktigonis... You always find a way to give. You are WAY too underrated. Whatever setting the Deepwoken team asks you to do, you nail it. From the heartfelt feeling of being home, to being completely insane in a deep part of the depths, not knowing which direction is which, with monsters that will surely bring your demise, you make it all fit so perfectly. You deserve way more recognition for your work.
I think a very essential part of this song, which most people tend to overlook, is how the track seem to absolutely *mock you* from the start 'till the end. It all really began at 0:32 where the chaos subsides and you attempt to grasp the area that you're in, only to be absolutely hit by the melody spinning all over the place in a laughing-esque progression, as if even the track itself is laughing at you for doing something as foolish as putting yourself on a silver platter for the Depths to retrieve with a golden spoon.
The melodies that follows doesn't really help neither, moments of respite are few and far between, and the chaos never goes away. The tension, the screams, and the insanity, all coming together in a grand symphony of mockery, only to end in a melody that's ever-so-familiar.
*Your efforts are worth nothing* , and to continue marching is to see to it that you will die knowing too little, and never enough. Though for us, I suppose it's better than dying peacefully, knowing absolutely nothing.
Which is why I adore this track in particular. It's an organized mess of sounds that works well in tandem with each other, and portrays a very clear picture of our fear most primal. Though I simply wish I could've enjoyed it more if not for the kind of colorful people you tend to meet while playing this game.

the insanity in this OST is SO well done its a combination of panic, insanity and a sense that you are out of your depth exploring such a place truly a masterpiece designed to make you FEEL the insanity and panic when you enter a fight its almost too well done
i love similar to how in layer 1's music the way the player perceives the music based on their experience changes, like how in layer 1's music usually gives chills to newer players, those who have had experience with the game find it comforting and calm. Similar to that this track is all over the place, representing the chaos, uncertainty, and fear during the first runs within the second layer. most people with more experience instead find it in a more invigorating battle theme rather than pure chaos, similar to getting used to the second layer and making sense of the chaos.

I really love all the chaos. The song itself just sounds broken, from the eye of a viewer it just seems like there's no pattern or symmetry AT ALL. If The Killing Winds was supposed to give me the feeling of "You're not supposed to be here," then INSOMNIA is the reason. Layer 2's whole ost so far has been phenomenal, and definitely some of your best works yet. The fact that I can get this feeling while not even under the massive pressure of being in Layer 2 and fighting whatever abomination I came across for this song to play speaks to your musical competence.

The whole song feels like a downward spiral slowly getting more chaotic as time goes on, and the little roars and groans in the background add to the eirie vibe, this song 100% complements the atmosphere of layer 2 the whole where am i and what is happening enviornment is perfectly depicted in this song and makes me want to purposely go in harms way just to jam to this. It also completely parallels the menu theme in both name and vibe, while the menu theme "to sleep, dreaming" is mellow and chill almost like a dream, insomnia is the complete opposite taking more of a scary/unsettling turn. 11/10 song its amazing how much detail went into a Roblox game🔥

As someone who hasn't been 2 layer 2, this sounds like the owl hivemind for vision shaper's boss battle theme as it sounds like you are caught in one big illusion of mirrors and vision altering whirldwinds with the hivemind enjoying it. I absolutely adore the flashing between light and dark as well as how the tendrils, or what ever the effects are shift in an instant at the start to perfectly create the sense of true terror
Love the small details to this, especially near the middle. You can hear laughing during a break which you could say it's Chaser laughing since he does that a lot during the fight. For the other sounds I guess you could compare it something like a Bounder or any other unworldly creature in Layer 2. Overall great music for a Roblox game, really went wild with this and it sounds amazing!

He managed to harness true chaos into a melodic rhythm, although the sound isn't pleasing it certainly gives the correct effect. Fear. Most impressively he has managed to follow the rules of Atonal Music whilst keeping this song orderly. You are a brilliant composer Naktigonis. Not only this but there is so much hidden within the video. The morse code at the beginning under the warning says DEEPWOKEN!. There are also the melodies of his other songs implemented into the video, which I believe indicates the players life flashing before their eyes.
